Young people or youth was used to describe infants (or babies), children and teenagers.
The term could also at times be used to refer to young adults as well, such as people in their twenties.

Doctor Lucius LeBon expressed how he found young people to be distressing at times; when he was talking about Marvin White and Wendy Harris. When referring to Wonder Dog, he likewise commented how he at times found "young dogs" to be depressing.[3]
