What the Butler Saw was a peep show that could be viewed on certain mutoscopes.
The film dated back to the 1900s and was a depiction of what a butler saw when he looked through a keyhole, watching the mistress of the house removing her clothing.
History[]
New Earth[]
While Crazy Jane was in the home of Red Jack, she found a mutoscope that was labeled What the Butler Saw although that was not the film that was in the mutoscope, it was instead some surreal horror film that depicted a man that was sitting at a dinner table in his dining room. And there were hand monsters and a giant insect baby for the purpose of scaring the viewer.[2]
