In the Amazon Rainforest, Bayou Jack tells Swamp Thing that he was flown there by a pilot that was an old friend of his when he served in the Vietnam War.[1]
The Vietnam War was a Cold War-era military conflict between South and North Vietnam.
The United States Government supported South Vietnam, taking their side of the conflict, as a way to keep South Vietnam from communist takeover. The war lasted 20 years, from 1955-1975.
