A venus fly trap was one of many carnivorous plants that were natives of the planet known as Earth, located in the sol system of the Milky Way Galaxy.

Earth 1956[]
In 1979, Superfriends members Superman, Aquaman and Wonder Woman encountered a giant venus flytrap on Oz. In reality, it was actually Mr. Mxyzptlk in disguise, who used his magic powers to transform himself into a Venus fly trap.[3]
Misty Magic used a flower shop Venus Fly trap to capture the Human Fly by using her magic to make it grow and it swallowed him.
