Its been while since I checked in. I'm sure you thought i'd never return.
I made a few changes to the home page.
I'm still concerned with all the extra stuff.. makes navigation difficult.
I'll get to the pages marked for deletion soon.
Have you thought about starting new wiki's ... one for filmation and one for ruby spears??
In any event, let me know your thoughts.
You've done an amazing amount of work.
I have a big concern. There is way too much work and additions to things that go beyond the Earth 1a continuity.
Remember our continuity sources were the episodes, the SF comic book and those Earth 1 comics the SF comics referenced.
Don't you think this wiki should only reflect that?
There is a ton of stuff/pages (etc.) that is considered non-canon and needs to be marked as such. We have templates that are designated for these types of pages.
Also, on these pages there needs to be citations which show the separation from canon and where the info came from and what universe its from.
Lastly, we have over 5,000 pages. The DCAU has less than 4,000 and the Smallville wiki has less than 2,000 pages. So, it seems like we have way too many pages.
If you have any thoughts or suggestions, let me know.
I may have some time on my Christmas break to help tighten things up.
Well ... I do check from time to time .. just haven't logged-in in quite some time.
The pages aren't that big of a deal I guess.. just a lot to manage. I see several that are just not needed .. big picture wise.
Having said that, this wiki is as much yours as it mine. Meaning that I can't come in behind you after all your work and 'sweep it clean' so to speak according to my preferences.
I do think we should speak further about what is considered canon. That does not mean that if certain things are not considered cannon, they cant find a home here, they just need to be marked as such (biography templates, headers, etc.).
While I see your point, when I made the seasons, the page you just posted did not exist. When you changed it, you made season 5 go to Shorts 80 twice. The same with season 6. Most of the literature at the time I created it, made a distinction between the shorts and seasons. How ever we designate not the issue. Changing what you changed is ... because it affects several other pages. You follow? Hard to type exactly what I mean.
Lastly, please mark for deletion, pages you believe should be deleted and i'll get to them when I can.
SF wiki founder
Don't forget the mission statement by the SF wiki founder: He has a word on quality over quantity. http://superfriends.wikia.com/wiki/SuperFriends_Wiki:About --Superman Fan (talk) 21:44, November 28, 2014 (UTC)
Sounds great. Thanks for being receptive.
In the mean time, check for those pages that should be deleted and make any suggestions you may believe that will help tighten it up a little.
What I mean
What I mean by tighten up .. when I go to http://superfriends.wikia.com/wiki/Special:WantedPages I see a ton of pages that jst don't need to be made.
when I read the 'History' section of Giganta's page, I see a ton of links to pages that don't contribute the overall objective of the wiki or page.
deleting unnecessary pages
I see words like transportation, gorilla, ape, transformed, woods, kill and lasso which give me pause, because they are simply unnecessary and do not contribute to the overall goal/objective of the page.
The word 'transportation' could easily be made into a category if its not already.
You see my point?
When I have time, I'd like to delete all these and others that I find that fall into the above mentioned objective of not contributing to the overall goal of the page.
Keeping these pages does not streamline the wiki.
Do you want to discuss this further or do you want me to go through and prune/delete?
first off .. no worries!
I'm not gonna come in like a whirlwind and undo all your work... :)
Having not really looked at the site in a while, it appears very busy and lacks proper citation.
My point is that those pages your describing are categories, not pages unto themselves. You'll this practice on most of the other wikis too.
So, every time u see the word automobile is cool, its not a streamlined practice.
I also realize that coming in and trying to implement what I wrote is also a daunting task.
Anyway .. cant solve it all now.
This stuff is not continuity...
Understood. Its still a parody and should be treated/designated as such.
Maybe we need to create templates (from character to location, etc) that say that.
Please compile a list of pages and leave me a msg here or create a category page and msg me that category page.
Now, after today I probably wont have as much time to get on her till the weekends or Christmas break.
Love all the hard work you've done... we'll be in touch.
Remember that citation is ultimate!
We must cite everything!!
Citing the episode alone is insufficient for an online encyclopedia.
We must cite the series/season, the episode and the date.
◾ Season 4 (1979) episode: Lex Luthor Strikes Back
Check out the following link: http://superfriends.wikia.com/wiki/Suicide_Squad
Is this canon?
If so, what's the connection?
Is it mentioned in the comic books or one of the continuity-related comic books or shows? http://superfriends.wikia.com/wiki/Continuity_with_Earth-One http://superfriends.wikia.com/wiki/SuperFriends_in_Other_Media
I see that Chronos is seen in issue 22 of the SF comics... is the origin of the character expounded or the group mentioned or is it conjecture?
Remember that conjecture is fine, but the pages must use the conjecture template and it mist be clearly explained in the text of the page.
I hate to ask (cause it does involve a good bit of work), but could you go to all the new pages you've made and add these templates and make these changes/additions?
I (as I know u do) want this wiki to be the best encyclopedic resource for all things SuperFriends... so quality must rule the day!
manual of style
I will be going back to the manual of style and shortening and making it more streamlined. Is too busy and too long .. not ones going to read it.
Some of the info on the page could easily be transferred to the talk page or the notes section of the respective pages mention on the manual of style. .. this the mention on the manual of style page is not necessary?
Besides being short, with a little ambiguity is not a bad thing and will help with the streamlining of the page and the wiki.
a few msgs
I sent about 3 msgs ... were you responding to all of them?
Canon starts the series, then moves out to the comic books and beyond.
I wasn't questioning the canon bit, just the sourcing ... it has to be more clear.
Having said that, I do have reservations about the games determining canon though.
I'll see what I can do about making new templates ... though it will probably be closer to Christmas.
Now... changing the templates are fairly easy .. however, once the changes are made, you'll still have to go to every page that has that template and make the changes there too. .. cause u use the code on the respective pages to plug in character info ... those codes will have to be changed too ... that's a huge task.
I'll check on the templates regarding the change to homeworld ...
As I review the wiki, I see pages like Ibac ... these pages need to be cited properly.
What is your source?
Is it canon or conjecture, etc.?
thanks man .. I appreciate u.
Since im big on canon, the page Sector 2814 as listing such as Lanterns is outside of canon... this page should be abut whats know in the Earth-1A universe.. not conjecture or info from other universes.
If it does it needs to contain proper citation.
Battery of power page
so put a list together of templates u think should be made ...
also, since ive been out of the game for a while ... also explain what they mean and what they should be include in the Earth 1A universe or if not included why they should be on this wiki.
I need to know things like (this list is not exhaustive): - explain what a Super Powers DC Heroes role playing game is - what is fan production character - what do u mean by "DC Heroes" (so I can properly designate templates or [category] pages, etc) - what is a DC Super Friends and why it should be on this wiki
All the help I can get will me streamline the site ane make the best encyclopedia it be...
If you a have links to templates to give me ides (as in Memory Alphas Multiple Realties), send them my way.
what category pages, would you put ibn a section like this? http://youngjustice.wikia.com/wiki/Template:Non-canon
or better yet, if I made this template, would u put in on pages that would be considered non-canon?
changed the header templates to have more streamlined look...
check them out: http://superfriends.wikia.com/wiki/File:Template_view.png
this is what the header templates I said id make will look like.
Is this page needed?
so please explain the connection Doomsday (character) has to the Earth 1a universe. What is this alternate reality u refer to?
Also, pages like this need the 'conjecture' template at the top.
Superman Red ... not canon.
Toys and video games are not canon.
I would suggest a template for these pages ... and removing the Earth 1a designation on character box.
Sorry I've been unavailable. Had three deaths in the family between my wife and I since the first of the year.
I see you've done a great job keeping up with the wiki page. My only concern again is that canon should be limited to the comic book and the cartoon ONLY. All other sources are extra-universe and should be cited as such.
Wish I could help more, but im not sure when I could contribute.
I have a vacay coming up soon, but not sure how much free time I'll have.
In any event, thanks for keeping the page alive!
Yes. And it its awesome stuff. I certainly didn't mean to suggest that your work wasn't good. It certainly is. And the page looks great.
I only meant it seems a bit beyond the scope of the page.
Maybe the changes to the links on the front page may help streamline to focus on Canon.
I'm trying out a few different things for the front page.
I have no use for professional software beyond working on the SuperFriends stuff .. so working on this stuff is a challenge.
I only saw the second response ... I appreciate all you input... thanks for all you do.
I'm more concerned with canon (Earth 1a Universe) as you mention.
My dilemma is that I only see the cartoon, the comic book (and related Earth one comics that are referenced) and the Super Powers comics as canon.
I forgot how much I enjoyed editing.
I plan to check in from time to time and help out.
When it comes to citation of a SF episode please follow suit with the how it is done on this page:
Thanks again for all you've done.
See changes BruceGrubb made to the Multi-Universes page uncer the Earth 1a section concerning the Superman animated series. I agree with his assesment which is why I suggested starting a Filmation or Ruby Spears wiki ... or at best scaling back on calling the FIlmation series or Ruby Spears series canon.
Further, I'm totally cool with referancing Earth 1a as Earth 32 (as long as we dont drop the Earth 1a reference) even if there is a discrepency with Samurai.
I believe Bruce uses the Super Powers comic for his support.
I'm not saying he is a 100% correct. I just like that he is using the Super Powers as canon.
You are completly free to add a footnote to his concerns or reword it so that its more ambiguous.
Now I don't dislike Filmation, I'm just seeing this wiki as straying from its source (Original TV Show, and comics).
If they are, we need to mention them as such.
Just trying to be as clear as possible and avoid confusion.
Who is this?
Do you know who this is? Its from the cover of JLA 148:
I've updated Lightning Lad's page.
Before I make changes on this wiki to follow suit with Wikepdia concerning how to label the seasons, what input do you have?
Check out this link too:
Before you redirect a page to something else (Robin for example) you need to find out what links to that page and change all those links as well.
Green Lantern (disambiguation)
As you can see I've been doing a little work here this morning as this is my third message to you.
Re: Green Lantern and Robin
I changed them to disambiguation to have them follow suit with the way most other wiki's work.
How bout I add the navbox (or whatever you call it) for real world article at the top.?.?
RE: Greean Lantern and Robin, etc
When you ask about previous messages are you referring to our convo on canon? If so, see changes I made to theSuperFriends: Manual of Style.
Concerning the GL page, some of the Laterns listed are not part the Earth-1A universe, correct? If that is correct, then it would have to remain a disambiguation page. We would then have to cite those Laterns as not being canon or put a conjectorall box or maybe even some new box on those pages.
As far as the Lanterns I asked about, maybe we could just start with citing them propoerly on the GL page and then move to addressing thier respective pages at a later date.
Had a lot of free time this week ... I'm mainly cleaning up and working on the SF comics.
What issues do you have again? And can you scan pages?
I don't have: 3 5 11 16 17 18 19 20 22 23 29 44 47
Love Star Trek, but no I haven't seen the new TV series. Missed the premiere cause I'm not gonna pay for their streaming service. The new movies are great.. but I'm kind of a purist.
Well let me know about that comics.
RE Deleting Pages
I know i bring this up from time to time ...
See this screenshot below. I would honestly say that 90% of those pages are not necessay or relveant to SF universe. And it makes this wiki bigger than it needs to be.
I would ask you consider marking pages like these for deletion.
And please don't miss my prior message to you.
Thanks again for all you dp.
RE Deltion, pt 2
Young Justice has 1,100 pages
The DCAU has 3,500
Smallvile has 1,900
We have over 6,200
I know you put a ton of time and energy into this wiki, but thats an awful lot of unecessary pages / information.
Consider my input. Like you,I'm trying to make this page the best it can be.
Re: Deletion, pt. 3
I don't really agree, but thats ok and you are a Syop. So your input is valuable.
On a different note, I made changes to the CSS page. Can you tell the headers on all the pages have different fonts?
What do you think?
Changes and Updates...
Yes. I've made changes to templates which I'll put on the front page soon. I was really discouraged for a while there as the updated look of the wiki changed the format of so many pages. After checking in for the last few years, the new look is hard to avoid. I alos realize that 98% of the people that come to this wiki see from the new wiki look and not the old monobook. Which brings me to my one of my points.. remember that most people will not see this wiki the way you see it. They will see a completly different format style. So when or if you make changes to fit the view you have it will not line up with the view most people have. So just an fyi if you weren't already thinking that way. Since my return a few weeks ago, I've been mainly focused on updating the look and style to conform to the new wikia look (this mainly includes overall font, front page and character templates) .. getting past my previous prejudices. I ask you to consider that as well so you can identify with the average viewer or person who dips in here or there.
Beyond that, i've been focusing on all the SF comic books, extended universe comics and then probably the Super Powers comics.
I'll also reveiw our previous convos and try to tackle any unfinshed projects we discused.
Lastly, as I think about tightening up the content on this wiki, I ask that you consider focusing on episodes and within those episodes, the chracters, places or locations, equipment anything germain to the overall objective of the Earth 1A universe. The other stuff (in my opinion) bogs you down and distracts you from the over objective of this wiki (and I would venture to add what others look for when they come here.
Thanks again and I look forward to catching up with you to make this best wiki we can!!
Still trying to figure it out though.
We like it to follow suit with this approach ... maybe we will have to redirect to do so... I'm not so much wanting to have images for every episode but start with a 'character design' image then have both TV show (or shows) and comic book images....
As and aside .... Been sick for almost two weeks ... lots of down time .. now i'm hooked... If that guys that work for me could see this... I'd never here the end of it ... I help run a painting / handyman company .... :)
yes. I'm aware. when i first did it they were on seperate tabs.
On a different note what ever happend to the Super Powers collection action figures? Why were they changed?
If someone was not happy, all we had to do was change the language (as a courtesy) as all that info is public domain.
Harley Quinn does not exist in the Earth 1A universe. She came a 2 decades later .. Post crisis.
Please remove it from the Joker page as it cannot even be consider conjectural.
I'd mark it for deletion as it has nothing to do with this wiki.
Not only that but she's in DC Super Friends.
Re: Harley Quinn
Understood. Is that the SP comics or the toys?
Fyi .. I'm gonna update the villain template. It will not include the image section. I was going to reserve that for the JL and the Legion of Doom. Thoughts before I do?
And have you seen my prior messages to you?
Harley and Character Template
Understood. I wouldn't consider Cave Carson or DC SuperFriends canon. While Super Powers Vol. 3 is debatable concerning canon, it is further up the totem pole than those publications.
And I was talking about the 'Villain Character Template.' I inadvertantly left the image option in it. Like you said, it would be an awful lot of work to add an image page for every character. I'll remove it. We can easily and a gallery page to the bottom of the pages if we want.
Have you seen the Batman Gallery page I created?
RE: Superman Article
Ya.. been making upgrades and style changes. Did you also see the Superman Gallery page. I'm not sure what categories to add though.. to that page or the Batman gallery page? Suggestions?
And what's the deal with this page: Jimmy Olsen
Are the two on the right both Earth 1A/canon? How do we know middle names? Are we able to cite the middle name to show discrepancy? IF no citation can be found, should we merge the two pages?
Re: Jimmy Olson
I meant, how do you know that they have different middle names? Appearance? or does an episode in either filmation or Ruby Spears mention it which lead you to have two seperate articels?
And since you want to hyper-link every year.. we should do this:
I wont make any more changes to the timeline page.
My idea behind all this is to list the comic books and respective TV shows with Earth-1A years on the timeline page before the hyperlinks to the various centuries.
RE: Timeline Follow-up 2
Why are you linking back to the timeline instead of to the next page itself in the 'next century' section?
RE: Timeline Follow-up 3
Understood. I see your point, but think about someone who wants to progress through the timeline that way. Now they have to go back to the timline page then back to the individual page progression (1st century, 2nd century, etc.).
And the template is great. Good idea.
RE: Timeline Follow-up 4
Awesome work on the Timeline. Were you going to transfer info from the actual timeline page to the respective year page and delete it off the time line page?
Re: Timeline Follow-up 5
Hey man. Question for you.
Who or what is Fauna? I was on the page for the year 1969 and in the references it said episode Fauna. What is that from?
When you don't put the corresponding TV series, comic or whatever the person reading the page has to do more research. It should be all visible 'at a glance' on the page. Make sense?
Its not really. It just says as seen in Fauna. Well... what is Fauna? Is it a SF episode, a filmation episode, A RS episode? I'm lost, cause I don't know the source.
I'm just saying the footnote needs more info (as do all the pages we create). It needs name of series (so we can link to that if we'd like), and the year needs to be on these citations as well.
As a new wiki browser or new browser to this site I'd be lost.
You follow now?
We just need to do that with every citation... including the SF episodes and comics.
Looks awesome though. Love the dedication.
You and I disagree on what is canon is apparently. I'm having a hard time with that cyber eye stuff ... it seems profane to me and it came later. Also, I work hard to keep the Background info contained to Earth One / Silver Age only. I don't use any retconned stuff so the content is germane to the universe that existed at the time of the TV show and comics mid 70's etal. So as far as i'm concerned, the content I used defines canon. If you need or want your cyber eye stuff on the page put it in the reference section, notes section or if you must, create a section for it after the background info and label it as such.
Understood. And I understand your point better now. Before I address that, I'll say that my intent is not censor or keep bad language off the wiki. My 9 year old son reads the wiki and so I was more concerned with the subject matter.. Or maybe 'how' it was written. Moving on from that, a couple of things to mention: (1) I liked the original approach to this wiki. We had Earth-1A and Earth-1B and the other universe like Earth-One and Earth Two separate. Meaning that if the SuperPowers stuff is the source of the Cyber Eye stuff, then it would be Earth-1B correct? If it is, then its a separate universe from Earth-1A. We then just need to cite it as Earth-1B and move on. When I get to the SuperPowers Comics, I plan to add a ton more Earth-1B stuff to this wiki. Now, I do think the hypertime stuff muddies the water a bit trying to merge Earth-1A and Earth-1B. And so does the designation: Earth-Thirty-Two. It also merges the two. I would prefer to keep them separate and will do so when I add the Earth-1B. (2) My approach to the Background Info section is to draw from Earth-One. That is why I have the section start "On the parallel-universe of Earth-One..." By doing so, I honor E. Nelson Bridwell's desire to make the SuperFriends part of Earth-One. That is why the Background Info section on all the pages I create draws heavily from Earth-One / Silver Age.
Who is this?
The guy in red is from JLA #147. Who is he? He is a Legion of Super-Heroes character.
And can you help me source the following retconned version of Dinah Lance? Dinah’s character was later retconned to dispel the difference between her age and that of the other JLA members. They simply erased this difference by claiming that the Canary appearing in current comics was actually the daughter Larry Lance and Dinah Drake. After Larry sacrifices his life to save Dinah from Aquarius and she travels to Earth-One from Earth-Two, it is discovered that she was poisoned by radiation from the battle with Aquarius, and was dying. So, she had her memories transferred to her now adult daughter's body. Her adult daughter had been put into suspended animation as a baby because of a curse placed on her by a wizard. She now had a super-power of her own
Retconns and Commercials
None of those reasons really.
Its mainly cause of the retconned incorporation into the existing (Earth-One) continuity. To include it would not honors E. Nelsons desire to connect SF with Earth-One...the Earth-One at the time he was writing ... not the retconned Earth-One.
Here is the retconned Teen Titan story:
it incorporates the Titans you want to add... they weren't there to begin with (and therefore not a consideration to E. Nelson, etal) so they should not be included
This appraouchs is what makes this wiki special and unique... Its what makes Earth-1A unique... and in my mind it defines Earth 1A.
Make sense now?
So whether we include them on the wiki is a mute point... meaning we can include that informtion ... lets just not call it Earth-1A.
Got you. From what little research that I did it looks like the origin of some of the 'new' Teen Titans characters was found in that secret Origins comic linked above. In other Words their origin was retconned into the mainstream continuity prior to Infinite Crisis... aka during pre-crisis.
Also it seems confusing to me.. In that the original Teen Titans magazine ended in the late 70s with them in their early twenties going their separate ways... So incorporating those characters in the new Teen Titans didn't seem to fit.
So let me put this back on you and ask you how to incorporate the newer characters within the universe (i.e. silver Age / Earth one prior to retconned origins... In other words Earth 1A) that I'm endeavoring to use on the wiki? How can we adhere to the original intent of e Nelson Bridwell and incorporate the newer characters that existed pre-crisis but early 80s (era of the retconn)? I'm inclined to suggest to you that we keep the Teen Titans page the way it is and just making a 'new Teen Titans page' or expand the one that's on the Wiki now.
You with me?
Canon Follow-up 2
I think I get it but again you have the Titans disbanding in there early twenties not that that's a big deal as we can easily add a new group / page and incorporate some of the older team.
My one stipulation is to not include the Silver age retconned stuff because it wouldn't jive with E. Nelsons vision (or how he understood the universe) at the time he did the superfriends comic.
And all I was asking you to do was update and add stuff to the 'new' Teen Titans page that I made.. if you're so inclined.
Canon Follow-up 3
Yes. I got that. I was just reiterating that we should not use retconned stuff. And that we should keep the Teen Titans page as is and use the other page to showcase the reunion and I was asking you to do that. If we need to mark the other Beast boy for deletion, let me know. Superman Fan (talk) 12:16, November 29, 2017 (UTC)
Canon Follow-up 4
Yes, I do not follow E. Nelsons vision rigidly. Just try to remain faithful to his intention.
Here is the new Teen Titans page: http://superfriends.wikia.com/wiki/The_New_Teen_Titans_(TV_series)
You can rename it is you want.
Mon-El is referenced in Super Friends issue 17. When I got to that issue I had planned to do a page like I did with Mal Duncan. See reference here: http://superfriends.wikia.com/wiki/Continuity_with_Earth-One
and we need to do something with the Jimmy Olson page. You made them separate. But you keep talking about the Superman show as if its canon. Then shouldn't we combine the two?
Lastly, What do you want to do with the Doc Fate pages: Doctor Fate (JSA) and Doctor Fate. In my limited study, I find no warrant to separate them out. Yes one of the Super Powers comics has him in the story and a member of the JLA... but that Doc Fate seems to be based on the New Earth version ... a doc that was a member of the JSA in the 40's but lived long enough to be a member of the JLA years later. Remember that in the SuperFriends Universe, the JSA lived in a parallel world. So it seems that if maintain that premise the Doc Fate that shows up helping the JLA in the Super Powers comic is helping in a cross-universe adventure... Thoughts?
And thank you for the noticing my work. I enjoy it but realize that with out editors like you and I nothing would really get done on this wiki. So thank you for all your hard work to.
Canon Follow-up 5
For streamlining purposes I would say we only need one Jimmy Olson page is all we need. Having two is unnecessarily confusing.
I'll merge the Doctor Fate pages.
As for the New Titans Page ... up dating it with the new characters with Earth One info is exactly what I'm saying.
Looking for your thoughts ...
I updated the Batman page with Earth-One info ... Should I add a section above that for Earth-1A info or should I add Earth-1A info throughout as i attempted to do?
In other words, should we have two sections, or merge them into two one as i attempted to do (I did this with Robin too).
Lost another freedom.
It took me a while to get used to it. Didn't really want too. But now, it all makes sense.
On the upside, you get to go back and look at all the work Ive done and see how good it looks.
adios my friend and keep up the good work.
Why did you mark Red Jar of Calythos for deletion??
I purposely wanted the 3 artifacts to redirect to one page. The ones at the DC Database are superfluous and therefore unnecessary. The way I did it streamlines it so as to avoid confusion.
Never mind. Looks like it was my mess up.
By all means. If you have a vison for the speed force page and Super Speed pages, please change it.
Concerning the Crisis on Infinite Earths page, any chance we can reduce info on page significantly and just link to external pages. Its so big, one can get lost easily.
RE: Comic Books
One, I'm not sure to what you are referring.
Thirdly, I wasn't aware this page existed till just now.
Oh … and lastly, the icon to tell us what other pages link to certain page is lost or removed. I can't find it either. More outside control form the powers that think they know best.
RE: Comic Book 2
Understood. That statement wasn't made by me. I just left it.
Appearances in Other Media
I was thinking of changing this section from this: https://superfriends.wikia.com/wiki/Green_Arrow#Appearances_in_Other_Media
On all the members pages. Thoughts?
Understood. I have a perfect solution then.
Templates and Comics page
Yes I saw that on Super Powers MiniComics (Series 1 & 2), 1984-1985
Honestly, its been messed up since the change a few years ago. I figured i'd get to it when I was done the regular comics.
On a different note, I have noticed that you tend to produce quite a bit of work on this wiki... but if I can encourage you to keep the main thing the 'main thing' that would be ideal. What I mean is that you chase a lot of rabbits instead of ensuring that pages for the TV shows are completed. There is a ton of material that is canon and we should make that our focus.
Beyond that, you've done excellent work. Don't give up. Without you this wiki would be lost.
Speaking of chasing rabbits... :)
We should have location category for SuperFriends, Ruby Spears and Filmation and one for shared categories... etc.
Crisis on Infinite Earths
Hey man. I've been looking the Crisis on Infinite Earths page and I was thinking it needed revision. Are you cool with major revisions and perhaps shortening it? Before I do, I wanted to ask cause you took the time to create it. --Superman Fan (talk) 16:53, November 25, 2018 (UTC)
Understood. I tried making the Darkness saga page about both the event and the comic. But yes, my synopsis is abbreviated. You can always add to the summary of each issue to make it more character oriented. --Superman Fan (talk) 17:16, November 25, 2018 (UTC)
Great Darkness Saga
Can't say I know what the Great Darkness War is. But if its in-universe/earth-1a I would make the Saga page more from that perspective. So just one page. I can change the navbox to reflect more of an event, not series. The navbox can look like the SF season box. --Superman Fan (talk) 02:34, November 26, 2018 (UTC)
Safety Tip from February 1983 broadcast
I feel like the Safety Tip segment should be removed, since "Battle of the Gods" was originally aired as part of Challenge of the Superfriends in 1978, and it seems like, by 1983, the series was being rebroadcast as half-hour episodes and the Safety Tips segment possibly did not exist until the late 1970s to around 1981.
Three of the 1983 rebroadcasts I have in my video collection does have Safety and Health Tips segments, but did not have the traditional DC comics superheroes involved (Samurai was in two of them, and the other one - the one about skateboarding on a public sidewalk - featured a character whom I don't know its superhero name).
Incidentally, there is a YouTube clip of a Safety Tips segment supposedly from post-1977 in which an African-American girl dips her finger in cake batter while the mixer is still running, and Superman reminds her it's dangerous. According to the video description, that segment was aired during a commercial break in a May 1986 broadcast of, strangely enough, The Bugs Bunny/Looney Tunes Comedy Hour.
This implies that the Safety Tips segments are likely more associated with ABC and nothing else. This may explain the absence of these types of Safety and Health Tips segments in the DVD releases and syndicated rebroadcasts on USA, Cartoon Network and Boomerang - most likely.
I don't know the exact original airdate of the Safety Tips segment involving Samurai treating dog bites, but I think it's a good idea to remove that section from the "Battle of the Gods" page.
I do have plans to create episode summaries for the remaining 14 episodes of The All New Super Friends Hour in the coming days, as I noticed there are no summaries except for the premiere episode. JonSea31 (talk) 12:15, November 29, 2018 (UTC)
What's the deal with this image: https://superfriends.wikia.com/wiki/File:Crisis_on_Infinite_Earths.jpg
I cannot find a connection to it anywhere. Where did it come from?

What's "Wonder Woman's Sex Tape"? Is it part of the Harvey Birdman universe? Lord Danielle Pluzsik the Inheritor (talk) 19:25, May 12, 2019 (UTC) NVM, it's a Cracked thing. Since Black Vulcan's appearance reminded me a lot of the Williams Street Universe, I thought it was part of that. Lord Danielle Pluzsik the Inheritor (talk) 19:30, May 12, 2019 (UTC)
That question wasn't from me. Check user name.
I haven't seen Shazam yet. But its on my list.
I did take my boys to see Captain Marvel yesterday. Movie was ok. They liked it though.
I just downloaded RealPlayer 8 to watch the clips on Seanbaby's site. "Great Lightning, it's eating through my suit!" Do you know which episode this is (he was fighting what Seanbaby calls "mumbling space goo" if it helps) or of any other episodes where Black Vulcan says his catchphrase? I find it adorable. Hey! What do you think you're doing? (talk) 18:59, July 2, 2019 (UTC)
I do not have DC Universe as it costs money to get a subscription there and I am a broke 16 year old. Also, I LOVE BV's Harvey Birdman self. That sexy voice...
I've been trying to watch some of the Challenge episodes on Dailymotion and only "The World's Deadliest Game" had "Great Lightning!" I was lucky enough to find a clip from "The Voodoo Vampire" where he says it on Instagram. I bet Seanbaby's site has more, I know the clip from "The Malusian Blob" had him say it. The bad thing is, that clip was in low quality (2003 quality.) I kinda wanna throw together a compilation of surprised Black Vulcan to prove Seanbaby's point. Could you help me on that?
I wish BV hadn't been replaced with Cyborg. They could've worked together. And BV could've had an origin like Samurai did the previous season. Sorry, but Cyborg's a pussy. Black Vulcan wasn't afraid to put up a fight (and loved his superpowers.) Hey! What do you think you're doing? (talk) 22:31, July 2, 2019 (UTC)
If B.V. had appeared in Static Shock, would he have said Great Lightning? I bet Soul Power didn't have a cheesy super exclamation. Is there an image of him? I just want B.V. back in a TV series, "Great Lightning" and all.
NVM, I looked him up, he just looked like Seventies Black Lightning when he was in his prime. And I've read online that Black Vulcan used to shout his name when he used his powers, any more info on this (like what episodes this happened in?) Hey! What do you think you're doing? Your user rights have been changed. You can change others on your admin page under user rights. I would change her to Bureaucrat first. Then, in time like I did with you change to admin.
Hey, thanks for making me Bureaucrat. I was watching Black Vulcan's first appearance on The All New Super Friends Hour a few nights ago. Was that the only instance where he shouted his name? Because someone on some forum said he didn't do it past his first appearance. Hey! What do you think you're doing? (talk) 14:09, August 31, 2019 (UTC)
I've been watching the original Birdman series and it is glorious. And I also have a crush on Birdman like I used to have a crush on Black Vulcan. I'm gonna update the Birdman pages with some new info. Wew. Hey! What do you think you're doing? (talk) 00:22, September 2, 2019 (UTC)
Hey man. I've made changes to the timeline. Specifically the distant past page. It needs a thorough review. If you want to streamline it, please do. My footnotes have the source of info and dates etc. I'm also gonna add short synopses on the episodes and comics as I have time. --Superman Fan (talk) 22:33, November 3, 2019 (UTC)
What are your thoughts on 'when' the TV series and the comic book takes place? I saw on the timeline that you have episodes from season one placed in the year 75. If you could briefly explain your rational, I'd appreciate it. Thanks. --Superman Fan (talk) 12:55, November 5, 2019 (UTC)
The Batman pic is from season 4 episode one. Thought it would be better. On a different note, I wanted to ask what your rational or source is for Leprechauns being descendants of the Maltusians. If there is no real connection I would suggest moving that info to the notes section and explain why you believe there is a connection in that section. --Superman Fan (talk) 14:56, November 13, 2019 (UTC)
Hey man. Thanks for addressing the Leprechaun in the room. On a different now, I don't know if you use a desktop or phone or whatever to work on this wikia. A couple of things. When you use a desktop or laptop you can click on picture to view its source (For some reason you can't do this on the phone). When you open up that separate page, you'll notice that every picture I've been uploading lately has the source in its name. That way we know where its from. Also, I believe I successfully changed the wikia to view pop-ups on references. Just hover your mouse over reference number and it should tell you source. Let me know if it works. --Superman Fan (talk) 13:56, November 17, 2019 (UTC)
Hey man. I'm going to go ahead and update and combine the Teen Titans and The New Teen Titans (TV series) pages and also the Beast Boy pages. Having more than one makes no sense and is unnecessary. Any thoughts before I do? And yes, I have seen the Titans live action TV show and its a force to be reckoned with. --Superman Fan (talk) 12:56, November 23, 2019 (UTC)
I also think that if we're going to change the timeing of season 1 to the mid-70s that we should revisit our timeline for Earth 1a on a whole ... meaning that John Jon should arrive on Earth later, flash should get his powers later, wonder woman should arrive in America later and Robin should be orphans later etc and most importantly the formations of the JL should be early 70s. This tightening up of the timeline would also makes sense when it comes to Robin being so young in the 80s and the formation of the new Teen Titans. Make sense?
Timeline follow up
I just emailed your email on your profile page let me know if you get it. Also I won't combine the new Titans TV show with the Titans page. What I'll do is add a section for the new Teen Titans. Been working on it. I will probably merge the gar Logan Pages though.
