SuperFriends Wikia Updates

Hey there! I see that you are a primary user here, I wanted to introduce myself. I have made several changes, including the skin. I'm no expert at it but I just wasn't digging the skin, so I made changes. If you don't like it, lets talk; or if you can make it better please do so. I plan to be here for a while, so if there is anything that you would like to discuss, let me know. --Superman Fan 16:43, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

Hey I have a new skin. Not sure how to get you to view it. It needs to be changed. I just can't dig the retro, campy Easter gone bad look. --Superman Fan 22:02, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

Black Manta Pic

Hey there! I apologize! When I uploaded a pic of Black Manta, I inadvertently replaced the one you had loaded up. I have replaced it with one I had. So, it it is waiting for you to add yours back. Thank You. Look forward to hearing form you--Superman Fan 16:38, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

I made some templates for the site. The link to the page is located near the bottom of the front page.--Superman Fan 22:00, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

What are Your Plans

What are your plans with the - Pre-Super Friends Shows That Seem to Share Canon , section?

I believe they are all Filmation shows. Do you think we should have a section on Filmation shows as well? Or would you just leave it as is - with the links for just those shows? --Superman Fan 05:03, 7 April 2009 (UTC)

Earth One

I got it from this web site: If you think that what I put is not
correct, please change it. After you made that addition, I did a little searching and that is what is what I found.

I thought you would like that. In response to our earlier discussion on including Filmation to the Wiki. I agree. I think we should be careful to designate any continuity as Filmation continuity so as not to be confusing.

For example:

--Filmation Continuity-- (or something like it)

yada yada yada

Check out the talk page on 'Earth'
--Superman Fan 02:58, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

Winslow Schott

Is this name ever mentioned in the series? I watched the episode with the dollmaker and I don't believe I heard the name mentioned. Nor did I hear that it belonged to the Toyman. If it is not mentioned, I think we should be careful to mention that and where we heard it. If its outside the series (ie Filmation) we should site the source. For example:
--In the Comics-- or

--In the Filmation Episode--

Something like that.

Let me know what you think--Superman Fan 14:32, 9 April 2009 (UTC).

Jack Napier

As a follow-up to my previous talking point, is Jack Napier part of SuperFriends canon (or Filmation)? If it is not, I think that the page should be deleted.

At this point you and I are the primary users here, that is why I am leaving this directly for you. --Superman Fan 15:43, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

==Winslow Schott and Jack Napier ==
I'll delete the Jack Napier page.

I like what you did with Winslow's page. I have a question. After reading the Winslows bio, and then checking the Toymans bio, how do we know that that the SuperFriends Toyman is the second Toyman. Do you know what I mean? If they make a reference to that in the show great, if not we need to cite that in the notes. Also, if Winslows name is part of the series (which from your response, I know it is), I think we should re-direct it like you had and merge the information onto Toyman's page (for streamlining purposes). Do you follow? Let me know what you think?

Concerning Canon

I think we should limit canon to the Superfriends cartoon only. Then make references to Filmation or the comicbook in the notes or whatever. Having to much info in the main page, could lead to loosing its identity. Again, by all means cite the other relevant info, but keep the main bio strictly to the cartoon. So, if you know when Mxyzptlk met Superman (from Superman filmation cartoon) add it to the notes.

Adam West

Also, concerning Adam West, your previous note seemed like you didn't know that he took over the voice from Olan Soule for the last two seasons. So Adam would be very relevant.

You should check out the template link on the front page.

At any rate... --Superman Fan 01:24, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

Batman (TV series) - live-action (1966-1968)

On the front page you added a handful of shows that would perhaps share canon. Why did you add this one? I can see why you added all the others. This one seems to be a stretch. Just curious. Thanks. --Superman Fan 12:39, 12 April 2009 (UTC)

Canon, Adam West, Toyman, Batman TV series

Good stuff on the Toyman. Keep them separate. My concern now would be clarity. Lets make the Toyman page as explanatory as possible - ie. why you think that it is based on the Jack Nimball Toyman from the comics, etc. Consider putting a link on toyman's page to the Winslow Schott's page (under 'See Also' or somthing like that). Also, on Winslow Schott's page, consider putting a non-canon disclaimer or maybe I'll make a box to put on the top stating something about it not being directly part of the SuperFriends universe. Let me know what you think

Concerning Adam West and the other voice actors. My thinking is to have 'one stopping place' for SuperFriends Voice actors.

As far as the Batman TV series, I don't think that it could share canon. Having the same voice actor doesn't mean there is continuity. Lets talk more about this.

Also, way down the road, it might be cool to have a section dedicated to Filmation, Ruby-Spears, and SuperFriends comic characters. I think we could do this by having specific category pages for each group listed in the previous sentence.

For Example:

Catergory:Filmation Characters

Catergory:Ruby-Spears Characters

Catergory:SuperFriends Comics Characters

Then for the individual characters page put:

Giggles (SuperFriends Comics)

Chick (SuperFriends Comics)

OK, there is my some feedback! --Superman Fan 00:55, 13 April 2009 (UTC)

Manual of Style

I know I have given you a lot lately. I appreciate your patience. I have created an updated SuperFriends: Manual of Style page, let me know what you think. --Superman Fan 15:05, 13 April 2009 (UTC)

Good Guys

Sounds Good.

Once you see the Manual of style this question will makes sense. Do you think that for The All-New SF hour, we need to re-direct them like you have been doing? Two thoughts, the more pages the better and maybe more importantly, if we use the episode set up like it is in the new manual of style combining them like you have been may prove to be difficult.

==1966 Batman series==
I wanted you to know that I removed the '1966 batman' from the SuperFriends in Other Media page. I did not delete it, you just have to through Adam Wests page. --Superman Fan 00:57, 21 April 2009 (UTC)

Your User Page

Since you are a primary user, you may want to consider checking out my user page and adding the templates that I have on there to yours. Just a thought. --Superman Fan 00:57, 21 April 2009 (UTC)

Good stuff on Atlantis..--Superman Fan 23:59, 22 April 2009 (UTC)

No Prob

Ya, I'm supposed to be working...don't tell my wife...

Character Templates

I can customize the templates with a specific color for filmation, ruby-spears and the comics characters. Any preference?

I was thinking for ruby-spears have a shade of red...

Hey man, I was adding a few things to Robins page and I was wondering if Robins back story was ever explained that clearly. I know it was referenced in the The Planet-Splitter from season 1. So, if it is not that clear I thin we should cite that proper reference. I am assuming that you either wrote it or are aware of the source. If you don't know we'll find out. Thanks. --Superman Fan 02:35, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

5th Dimension

Check out the page on the Phantom Zone ....--Superman Fan 18:52, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

I got the line that you pointed out from:

Now you are correct, it is unsubstantiated. The article I got it from doesn't cite it either. We could remove it or (which I prefer) change the verbiage to reflect what you wrote to me. You know much more about the different universes than I do. So make changes accordingly.--Superman Fan 15:38, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

You had mentioned a while back about Superman meeting Mxy in the Filmation series. If you know how that took place, put that under a new section on Mxy's page called Background information. If you could do this for any characters, that would be great. I unfortunately know very little about the late 60's filmation series. I remember seeing them in syndication when I was little but have never seen them again. I guess I need to buy them. My boy is old enough to enjoy them.--Superman Fan 00:45, 30 April 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for using the templates I added. You were right, there is so much to do around here. Oh and in case you were wondering, I am not always on here, I just receive e-mails letting me know when updates / changes have been made. Since I am self-employed I have the freedom to check these quicker than most......

to clarify about the ALL NEW SUPERFRIENDS HOUR episodes, you said that it was 'ok' to undo the redirects?--Superman Fan 12:40, 3 May 2009 (UTC)
: hey man, I have undone a few of the redirects. Would it be cool with you if deleted the 'The All New Super Friends Hour (Episode ...)‎‎' afterwards? --Superman Fan 10:47, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

Aquaman Page Change

Hi there, did you add the 'out of water for only hour' to weaknesses? If so, can you cite that? SInce that seems to be different than the other info, I would think that it should be cited. thanks. --Superman Fan 12:43, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

Don't know. I just copied the picture and used what they mentioned in the episode. Sometime this year I will categorize every episode. Till then, I would assume that it is different. Just based on what they call it and what it looks like in the episode. --Superman Fan 22:38, 20 May 2009 (UTC)

New Additions

Hey there! Like the new additions. I have one request and you may be already to do this. For clarity, I think it would be helpful if the episode or series appearances are added on the initial creation of a page. As you see I did change Aqualad slightly. I also have profile pics for these filmation characters. I will add them, hopefully this weekend. Thanks! --Superman Fan 12:31, 23 May 2009 (UTC)

Filmation / Comic book

I have added pages for both Filmation and the comic book. I have not seen many of the episodes, nor have read any of the comic books. However the internet has quite a bit of info on it, so I was able to create a few pages. Your expertise is necessary on those page! When you can of course. Are you set up to receive e-mail notifications on updates to the pages you are watching. I would encourage you to set that up if you haven't. Especially since you have invested so much work on the site. --Superman Fan 19:14, 1 June 2009 (UTC)

hey man

I know that I have been on here a lot and that I add and change templates trying to make it the best I can. I want you to know that your input on this site is just as valuable as mine. Without you this site would have disappeared a long time ago (I'm almost positive that you are responsible for over 300 pages out of the 400 plus that are on here now). So I'm asking for your input. Are you pleased with the direction of the site, the templates, the new skin, etc? Also I have changed the tool bar on the left there quite abit, are you interested in anything else being there? Thanks for your help and remember if you want something done to the site, just ask. --Superman Fan 23:53, 10 June 2009 (UTC)

I have seen Star Trek twice in the theater and a friend of mine got be a bootleg copy ...shh don't tell anyone. I am also registered over at Memory Alpha too, LOSTpedia, and Smallville. I also have a Star Trek site that I've had about two years. Its similar to a wiki site but I've set it up to be more of a personal site:

I look forward to your Filmation additions. If I get permission from my wife to buy them I will. My boy is only 3. I'll probably have to wait a year or so to justify the purchase...remember this is only a hobby....j/k

Also, if you get a chance to set up that e-mail program, it is under 'special page' then 'preferences'. --Superman Fan 20:53, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

Sorry about that! I was watching that disc with my boy the other morning and I got to thinking about the page you started on Caltos. So I took notes and well you've seen the results. By all means, make any changes you would like. --Superman Fan 01:20, 16 June 2009 (UTC)

Earth 1A timeline

Hey man,

If you know of specific events from the Filmation series, please add them to the timeline.

I think we should also add events from both the comic books and those events that E. Nelson Bridwell placed in the footnotes.

When I created the timeline I added the year 1941 for Wonder Woman leaving Paradise Island. Not sure why I did that. If you know if that date is correct, or if you have theorized a better date, please change it or add the proper citation.

Yes you are right about the establishment of the JLA as being conjecture. I believe I did that based on the age of the characters and their sudden appearance together in the The Superman/Aquaman Hour of Adventure. It is pure conjecture.

Like what you have done this evening. One question, should the aliens from the planet Caltos be categorized under alien races? They are a race, but shouldn't their race (Olympian) be placed in that category and not the individual characters. ANother words shouldn't Kryptonians, Olympians, etc. be under that category. --Superman Fan 02:15, 21 June 2009 (UTC)

captain marvel

two things:

I read once that Hanna Barbara wanted to use Captain Marvel but couldn't for contractual reasons. If you know if that is true or where that can be cited, lets add it to the page.

Also, shouldn't the character template be a Filmation one and character misc. ? --Superman Fan 23:14, 21 June 2009 (UTC)

Since we have the Filmation template I would feel better changing it. I may make a template for the live action show, not sure. The reason that I would change it for simplicity and clarification. Its not a traditional SF character, so it should not use a template that would be identified with the the like. Make sense? --Superman Fan 23:26, 21 June 2009 (UTC)

JLA redirects

I have meaning to change the season 1 page for a while. I'm glad it is finally done.

Also, I made additions to the Captain Marvel. Not sure if you saw those yet or not. He is one of my favorite characters. I was barely 3 or 4 when the live action show came out. It was so much fun. And I loved the JL episode he was in. Good stuff!

Hey I know this isn't a big deal, but could you start to use the signature icon in the tool bar when your finished with your messages. Thanks! --Superman Fan 17:48, 22 June 2009 (UTC)

I'm glad you know all that stuff about Filmation. Just the simple change you made to Robin's page earlier makes this site that much better... Enjoy working with ya...--Superman Fan 21:58, 22 June 2009 (UTC)

I initially had planned to put them together, but after watching the Season 6 episode I felt like they were two different characters. They are so different. But you are right we have no way of knowing for certain. That is why I put it in the notes. I was gonna change Bizarro (Legion of Doom Member) page soon and make similar notes. --Superman Fan 02:50, 24 June 2009 (UTC)

Also, its not stretch to have two Bizarro's since the episode depicted multiple Bizarro's and the comics had more than one Bizarro at the time.

Mini Comics

I was doing research on mini comics and I created this Page: List of Super Powers Minicomics ( I've got cover art so I'll finish up this page).

I also found the following pages and I hoped that you would know more about them (are they next part of the mini-comics or an entirely new series) and might be interested in adding them to the site:
* Super Powers (1984)
* Super Powers (1985)
* Super Powers (1986)

Here is a link dedicated to the 76-85 Comic book series (I've been using a few others):
* SF Comic book 76

I was confused over the listing of the other issues. There are the normal 1-47, however there are two more listed. Do you know anything about those? Now if you recall from our Super Friends (comic book) page have an extra issue that precedes #1. Is that right? Sorry I can't find my source right now. --Superman Fan 13:39, 26 June 2009 (UTC)

I found this site. It seems to explain some the mini comic stuff. --Superman Fan 23:26, 26 June 2009 (UTC)

Super Powers

Are you saying that there is too much discontinuity with Earth-1A? What led you to that decision? Now I haven't read them so my understanding is not informed. Now remember that there is some discontinuity on the show too.

I did read that the minicomics did not fall into the Earth-One universe, but I didn't think that they would be that different from Earth-1A.

You wrote earlier that, "I guess we could list the Super Powers universe as just another one of the alternate realities that we have. Like that idea?" Like the Star Trek site...have an omniscient POV? Are we going to have different character bios (like I did with Bizarro)?

Do you have any of the minicomics and if so could you find out if they are that dissimilar?--Superman Fan 02:26, 28 June 2009 (UTC)

Collectors Edition

Still trying to find my source. I did find the following:

--Superman Fan 02:46, 28 June 2009 (UTC)

Super Powers

Now I'm just confused....and kind of depressed. I was excited to add that stuff..... oh well......I'll let you handle the whole other universe stuff... --Superman Fan 23:56, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

I was just kidding sweat...I also think that they are integral to the site. The problem is, now that we have established that they are not part of Earth-1A (or you have established..J/K) is how to incorporate them into the site. Your suggestions are good....This will take a lot of work. It will have to be good and comprehensive...since we are the standard for all things SuperFriends or Super Powers or uh, whatever...--Superman Fan 00:11, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
Help me out with the whole samuari / darkseid storyline. Is it intended to be the present or is it a backstory...cause I believe in the first 2 episodes of season 5 they establish his first meeting with the superfriends (Superman already knew him). So is this an entirely different meeting with Darkseid?
Also, are you saying that this separate universe just relative to the last season and the minicomics?--Superman Fan 00:32, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

I take them right from the DVD's. I suppose that if you write a new article I could find the pictures and drop them in.
--Superman Fan 00:27, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

We hit the 500 mark with articles....woo hoo! --Superman Fan 23:56, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

Earth 1B

Why not call it Earth-1a2 (squared)...j/k

I appreciate you taking the reigns on this, that is cool.

Are you 100% positive that it is another universe. I am not. The reason I ask is because it looks like a huge endeavor and before we commit to it wanted to be sure. --Superman Fan 20:04, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

lot of work

wow! i'm was only gone 2 hours... --Superman Fan 22:32, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

Hey man I love the picture you put on the Daily Planet page. I do have one request, could you cite the picture (or pics like that) of the newspaper. It would be cool to see where that came from. --Superman Fan 22:48, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

Creative Commons License

They have replaced the gfdl licences with the creative commons license.

So when you upload pictures use that license. --Superman Fan 23:53, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

Citing Sources

Hey man, I love all the new additions, that is what makes this site great.

As I looked over some of the new pages I was confused as to what series they were part of. So I think it would be best if you to cited sources on all the new pages (if you know those sources), especially the Filmation ones, since there are so many.

For Example:

Filmation Series: The New Adventures of Batman

Coming Soon!

Super Friends (comic book):

Coming Soon!

It would just help out with the efficiency of our site.

Also, even little things like I mentioned earlier about citing the newspaper article (form the Daily Planet). If you know the source, please cite that in the text for the picture.

That is all. If you have any questions, please ask. --Superman Fan 13:41, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

Is the name 'Ivor Hale' or the traditional, 'Kirk Langstrom'? The reason I ask is because you had both names in the original blurb.

Also, I mean no offense by working on some of you articles. As the admin I have to patrol every new page. And since I love detail, I have to add all that stuff.

They are great additions, making our site that much better. Most of which are new to me and cause me to learn more and more. Keep it up, I look forward to your stuff.

While I'm here, before you add the Earth-1B stuff, let me know what you will include. It would appear that Season 6 and the mini-comics fall into that universe. I would hesitate to add Season 5, unless Season 5 was part of both. I know we may have to add the new universe, but honestly I don't like the idea. --Superman Fan 18:42, 4 July 2009 (UTC)

I think I figured out the whole Man-bat confusion, see article Man-Bat.

I watched Season 6 this weekend and I never felt that it was supposed to be a different universe. The major differences were: the Hall of Justice, WW (although she appeared more 'womanly', I preferred her older look better). Not much else was different. So I was thinking that maybe the different universe (if we go that route) would just be the mini-comics.

We are the go to site for all things SuperFriends / Earth-1A. And by being as comprehensive as we can will only serve that goal.

Oh and the Swamp thing addition may be ok. I was just wondering yesterday if one day in the far future, we were going to have a synopsis for every filmation, and ruby-spears episode too. Man what a big project. --Superman Fan 14:33, 6 July 2009 (UTC)

If you can cite the almost WW spin-off (or if you can't), put it on her article page. --Superman Fan 23:27, 6 July 2009 (UTC)

Noah Tall

Noah Tall (01x09 - The Balloon People).png

Noah Tall HeadShot (01x09 - The Balloon People).png

Hey man, I uploaded two pics of Noah for you. Use the head shot for your avatar. You can use the other for whatever.

Superman Family Album

I've noticed the new pages and the heading, 'Superman Family Album'. Not sure what that means. Does it need more explanation?
--Superman Fan 21:09, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
: Is that what it was called? Maybe put parenthesis on those stating something like (6-7 min. short). I don't know, just thinking out loud. --Superman Fan 23:00, 8 July 2009 (UTC)

Connie Cawlfield

Did you change the info on Season 5? If you check out the Wonder Woman page, I cite my source there. Its the external link - Shannon Farnon interview.

Where do you get your source from? --Superman Fan 00:05, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

Did you see the updated Samurai page? If you know better on the Origin info please make appropriate changes. --Superman Fan 00:55, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

A couple of things

Have you reviewed the tool bar on every article page? I noticed that a picture that you added to a page was not coded right. The tool bar at the top will actually insert the chosen picture with the proper code. So check out all the options.

Not that it matters, but the avatar is the small picture on user page above the tool bar. When I sent you head shot I had that in mind. Just to clarify.

Also, I was a little confused by the footnote / cited info on Syrene. Are you saying that the 'Background Information' has nothing to do with the Earth-1A character? The objective with the 'Background Information' is to support the continuity. So if the character has little to no background info, we use that section to support the Earth-1A character. Make sense? --Superman Fan 02:32, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

The toolbar will insert the pictures for you. It appeared that you were trying to put the pictures in yourself. I was just trying to show you an easier way.
Concerning the Syrene page, I was confused by the footnote. If it supports or could be incorporated into the Earth-1A universe then it supports the our continuity. If it is strictly Earth-One and is a different backstory than the one revealed for Earth-1A (if there is a backstory) then I would reconsidering having it there. --Superman Fan 02:47, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
Ok, so I understand correctly, the background info is relevant to Earth-1A and the footnote was just stating that the comic book continuty was different. If that is the case the reference / footnote is a little confusing. --Superman Fan 02:57, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

Did you see that Connie joined our site last night and made a few changes. --Superman Fan 02:30, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

She created her profile page and made a change on SuperFriends: The Legendary Super Powers Show. Do a side by side comparison on the history page. --Superman Fan 02:45, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

Check out the toolbar. The last one on the right. Click it and add the url from the youtube page. The one they provide that says url. --Superman Fan 03:20, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

Good Work

I've enjoyed catching up on all the great additions you've made. Great stuff! I assume that you have the Superman series based on all the screencaps you have uploaded.

If you are unable to capture new screenshots, I can show a free DVD player/program on-line that will allow you to capture screenshots.

What is the next series you are going to tackle?

--Superman Fan 23:32, 18 July 2009 (UTC)

Justice League Unlimited

Do you happen to own the JLU on DVD? --Superman Fan 22:05, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
:Are you able to make screencaps or did you loose that ability due to the reason you stated earlier? --Superman Fan 01:00, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
::I understand that in the JLU episode: Ultimatum, the beast that throws "itself against the bars" is a nod to the Wonder Dog. I was hoping to get a screencap of that beast and put it up on Wonder Dogs page. --Superman Fan 01:08, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
:If you can get the screencap ability back, it may be a cool idea to a recap of that episode with lots of screencaps. Unfortunately, I was working two jobs back then and I was engaged, etc, etc. I didn't get to see all of the episodes. --Superman Fan 01:19, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
::Thailog over at DCAU got us a picture of the Beast. Its on Wonder Dogs page now. --Superman Fan 13:45, 24 July 2009 (UTC)

Super 7

Ya I thought about that too!

I would just think that it is not relevant to the show, so don't add any more than you have too.

I would think that the Swamp Thing would be far enough, since swamp thing is referenced in the comics....

--Superman Fan 18:56, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

If the New Adventures of Batman aired in 77 and Batman and the Super 7 aired in 1980, why did you rename the page?
--Superman Fan 00:47, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
It seems to me that The New Adventures 3rd season was incorporated into the Super 7. So if it started off as The New Adventures first. I would considering two things: Revert the article back to what it was and secondly (and maybe more importantly) be more clear in the article itself. The top blurb is more or less sufficient, but if the The New adventures ran for 3 seasons, have those as sub headings (making the 3rd heading / season the Super 7). Make sense? I think you mentioned that you didn't have all the episodes. If that is the case, that is fine. As long as we have a heading.
::--Superman Fan 18:02, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
Yes! That is what I meant. Now what about the episodes that are listed? Will they go under one of the new headings?
::--Superman Fan 18:20, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

How bout this....

(Wikiepdia has plenty of info for episodes etc.)

==Season 1:==

The New Adventures of Batman originally premiered February 10, 1977 on CBS.

==Season 2:==

The Batman/Tarzan Adventure Hour (1977–1978 CBS)
Episodes from The New Adventures of Batman were later aired along with other Filmation shows—such as Tarzan, Lord of the Jungle (1976, CBS)

The Batman/Tarzan Adventure Hour is a Filmation series that ran on CBS during the 1977–1978 television season. It consisted of the second seasons of Tarzan, Lord of the Jungle and The New Adventures of Batman aired together.

For the 1978–1980 seasons the series was retitled Tarzan and the Super 7 and expanded to ninety-minutes with additional content. For the 1980–1982 seasons, reruns of the Batman and the Super 7 episodes moved to NBC and Tarzan joined The Tarzan/Lone Ranger Adventure Hour.

==Season 3:==

Tarzan and the Super 7 (1978–1980) CBS

Tarzan and the Super 7, was a Saturday morning cartoon series, produced by Filmation and originally airing from 1978–1980 on CBS.

The show consisted of separate installments featuring seven groups of adventurers;

  • Tarzan, Lord of the Jungle
    * The New Adventures of Batman
    * The Freedom Force — Isis, Super-Samurai, Sinbad, Merlin, and Hercules
    * Jason of Star Command — the only live-action segment
    * Manta and Moray
    * Superstretch and Microwoman
    * Web Woman

The show was an updating of the Batman/Tarzan Adventure Hour which aired on CBS Saturday mornings during the 1977–1978 television season. That series featured separate half hour episodes for each hero, with each show having its own opening and closing credits. The two series had previously run separately as Tarzan, Lord of the Jungle (1976) and The New Adventures of Batman (1977).

==Season 4:==

Batman and the Super 7 (1980–1981 NBC)
During the 1980–1981 television season, NBC ran repeat episodes under the title Batman and the Super 7. This hour long series featured all of the original ‘Super 7’ segments except Jason of Star Command and Tarzan, Lord of the Jungle (The Tarzan show continued airing repeats on CBS as part of The Tarzan/Lone Ranger Adventure Hour (1980–1981) (later renamed The Tarzan/Lone Ranger/Zorro Adventure Hour (1981–1982)).

The above is what I was looking for. I wouldn't use the verbatim.
--Superman Fan 18:40, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

Super 7 - part 2

If you don't have time right now, I think I'll put something together and put it on the page.
--Superman Fan 19:26, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

I came home early today and no one was home yet so I revamped the whole article. Let me know what you think. Oh I didn't revert it back to the The New Adventures of Batman. I may do that later. --Superman Fan 20:24, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

New Page

Check out Baby Kal-El Lands on Earth and make any changes or additions as you see fit. --Superman Fan 05:23, 26 July 2009 (UTC)

Make any changes you need to. Also, check out the Krypton page too! --Superman Fan 16:38, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
Check out he picture of the truck outside the orphanage. I'm sure it differs significantly from the one in the episode Adoption. I also have a picture of an unnamed director of the county orphanage. SO if you ever get those screenshops, we can make the comparisons. --Superman Fan 16:44, 26 July 2009 (UTC)

Other Series

Hey man, what other series do you have from our list SuperFriends in Other Media? I interested mainly in finishing up the back story on characters like: Batman, Robin and Aquaman and if you have The Superman/Aquaman Hour of Adventure all the JLA characters depicted in that series too.

Also, I would consider reverting Batman and the Super 7 back to The New Adventures of Batman. It wouldn't right for me to arbitrarily do it my self. The reason is, it would appear that it aired as 'The New Adventures' first then the repeats were incorporated into the late adaptations. I would keep the other designations and use them as re-directs to 'The New Adventures' page.

Also, you may want to consider archiving your talk page history, like I did. If your not sure how to do it, I'd have no problem doing for you. --Superman Fan 16:38, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

Cool.. I'll look out for it...

I got an e-mail from amazon today telling me about the Superfriends 'lost episode' you had mentioned on August 11, 2009.

--Superman Fan 23:02, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

Cool.. I'll look out for it...

--Superman Fan 23:02, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

The Freedom Force

I created a new page: The Freedom Force

I noticed that the episodes from the wikipedia page and the episodes you chose are not the same. Do you know why?

--Superman Fan 01:20, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

Is the synopsis I copied over, similar to the episode Morgana's Revenge?
--Superman Fan 01:42, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

Wonder Twins

I have tried to avoid spoilers....but its hard not to. I know of the other 3 DC characters that are going to show up this season.

Any way I love Smallville it was such a fun show. Season 7 and definitely season 8 have been kind of stale and poor character archs especially for Ollie and Clark. I think season 7 & 8 should have been merged. Season 6 was so good only to have the wind taken out of the sales.....Oh well! --Superman Fan 21:04, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

I actually saw that a few weeks ago...I sat there rewound and just scratched my head. The characters are obviously different, yet in that episode they tie them together... not sure what to do...--Superman Fan 05:21, 12 August 2009 (UTC)

Did you add the filmation continuity section to the Joker page?

If those are episodes from a filmation series they are to be designated as such and put under episodes...leaving the filamtion continuity section blank for now. Thanks! --Superman Fan 20:03, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

Two things

They are so differnt. We could just add notes on each page to specify that they may be the same charcter.

Earth-S Universe

I think that it is clear that Captain Marvel and his universe is unique from Earth-1A. I am going to make an Earth-S page and incorporate the live action show and the cartoon onto that page. So we will have them on the wiki, but not on the continuity page or the front page. Make sense?

--Superman Fan 21:50, 15 August 2009 (UTC)

If you change the Bizarro pages remember that several links have been changed to direct to the different pages. If we leave them it would not be a stretch since there were more than one Bizarro at the time.
So help me understand the Shazam thing. Are there 3 Captain Marvels belonging to 3 different universes? The live action-show on the wikipedia page is depicted as being different from the comic book. So which shows are part of the Earth-1a universe?
:--Superman Fan 22:08, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
Ok so you think the animated show and the live action show could be part of the Earth-1a universe. The live-action show and the animated show are also very different from one another. The animated show is also very large. There is a lot to it. It seems difficult to suggest that it is the same universe (although all we had were the shorts in 81 so not much story there to compare to). The live-action show fits better. I guess my point is, since both shows (live action and animated) are so different could they both be part of the Earth-1a universe or just one of them?
::--Superman Fan 22:47, 15 August 2009 (UTC)

hey man

Hey there, I know I haven't been on here much the last few weeks. Between vacation, possible new day job, and moving its been (and will be) a crazy few weeks. --Superman Fan 13:29, 24 August 2009 (UTC)

How goes it?

Sorry its been a while. We moved and my wife thought it would be a good idea to fore go the internet for a couple of months.

Not sure that we will last that long. I'm sure by next month we will be back at it.

Also, my disc drive fried I'm looking into getting into a computer.

Oh and are anticipating season 9 of Smallville next Friday night? After being disappointed with most of season 7 and 8 I hope the new season will have redeeming qualities.

--Superman Fan 15:33, September 19, 2009 (UTC)

Hey man, hope all is well.

I should have internet back in about 3 weeks.

It looks like I logged on as you were making changes to Bizarro. Now having seen the episode from the shorts that confirms that they are the same character, I still like the idea of having separate pages.

The idea for two separate pages is from the character Rachel Dawes over at the batman wiki.

Now if we cannot make them separate, at least retain the info and add it two one page. Meaning, lets try to put the info from the 'Legion of Doom Member' at the top and put the "bizarro #1" info at the bottom (retaining profile pics etc.)... make sense?

Let me know your thoughts. --Superman Fan 15:42, October 21, 2009 (UTC)

Check this out:

If you like we can replace the new Bizarro page with this one. --Superman Fan 17:03, October 21, 2009 (UTC)

Plastic Man

I see that you made a change to Plastic Man (and the Toyman). Did you get the new DVD series of Plastic Man.

If you have not or did not know, it is now available through Amazon.

--Superman Fan 17:18, October 21, 2009 (UTC)

If you did get the series we need to get a review of the episode Superstein, which as you know, is directly linked to The World’s Greatest Super Friends episode The Superfriends Meet Frankenstein.

I have the World's Greatest Super Friends on DVD. I should be able to get a review of the above episode.

Remember, that Dr. Frankenstein's sidekick, Gorg, appears in both episodes, with the same voice actor and a similar character design.

--Superman Fan 17:34, October 21, 2009 (UTC)

I'll go ahead a transfer the page over to Bizarro. If you don't like that idea, let me know.--Superman Fan 22:13, October 26, 2009 (UTC)

Hey man,

What do you think of the new look to the header? --Superman Fan 15:28, November 18, 2009 (UTC)

SF Comic Books

Hey man, you have SF comic books, right?

If so, are you able to scan pages (and crop pictures) so that we can do character bios on characters that are not featured in the cartoon, or characters that are featured, but may be wearing something different than the cartoon version. Let me know, thanks. --Superman Fan 15:42, November 18, 2009 (UTC)

I'm back

I finally got the internet connection.....I think its been nearly 4 months.....

Galaxy Broadcasting System

Good stuff!

I've been chronically every episode. I believe that GBS is actually mentioned twice in Season 1.

I have alot of stuff to add...can't wait to get back at it.

--Superman Fan 02:14, January 13, 2010 (UTC)

I like the idea of adding the comic book referenced. I also think that you are right about not adding the whole series.

And this is not Star Trek (like you said). We can afford to add the referenced story line to the Earth 1a Universe. Having said that we could eventually add the referenced comics to out timeline.

On a different note, do you have any thoughts on the messages I left you here recently?

--Superman Fan 00:05, January 14, 2010 (UTC)

Teen Titans commercial from Keeblern

No unfortunately I do not.

Those videos can be converted to DVD.

I was also talking about the new banner I made. Is it too kiche or does it work?

--Superman Fan 00:42, January 15, 2010 (UTC)

3 demons

can you crop the pictures of the demons on their specific pages?

If not, let me know which colors are which demons and i'll do it.

--Superman Fan 01:27, January 15, 2010 (UTC)

I can crop them accordingly.

On a different note, does your disc drive work? My fried a few months ago. If yours does work I have a few pics for you to copy. --Superman Fan 00:03, January 16, 2010 (UTC)

I can Crop pics for you

I'll crop those pics you mentioned. Just upload them, and tell me who they are. --Superman Fan 00:13, January 16, 2010 (UTC)

Comic books

Hey man what SF comic books do you have?

I was thinking of buying some and to start I'll probably buy the ones you don't have.

Also, do you have any of the DC comic books that were referenced in the SF comics. Per our discussion before, I was thinking that we should definitely add just those (not the entire series) to our wiki. Just like we did with the SuperFriends in Other Media page.

Now that I think about it, we should transfer all the data on that page to a new page called, 'SF in other cartoons page' (or something like that). This will free up the 'SuperFriends in Other Media' page to list something like the following on that page:

  • SF in other cartoons page
    * SF in other Comics

You know what I mean?

--Superman Fan 15:01, January 16, 2010 (UTC)

This page still confuses me. Its just that your footnote doesn't make sense to me.

Is the Background info from the Earth-One universe and not the Earth-1A universe?

If it is, we can note that in the title of that section. For example, 'Background Information from Earth-One Universe'.

If you know the background from Earth-1A, then add a section for that, with a clearly marked title for the section.

Thanks.....--Superman Fan 15:12, January 16, 2010 (UTC)

Ok! It just seems confusing. Is the background that is on the page, from the SF comic book or from Earth-One? If it is from Earth One, that fine. Its just that your footnote makes it seem like it a completely back story than th eone in Earth-1a. Also, when you say 'from the comics' in the footnote are you referring to Earth-One or another universe? I apologize, if a character is not one of the primary DC characters, I don't know much about it. As a kid I only collected Green Lantern, Aquaman and Green Arrow. --Superman Fan 22:14, January 16, 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for the clarification. That is what I was looking for. I think that it would be helpful if that was added to the page when you up date it. Thanks again! --Superman Fan 22:22, January 16, 2010 (UTC)

Cropping Pics

Just tell me who you want and I'll take of it. --Superman Fan 02:55, January 17, 2010 (UTC)

New Comic Book Page

Do you remember this page:
Continuity with Earth-One

Do think that the new page you created should be merged with the one I added above?

Just a thought

--Superman Fan 03:15, January 17, 2010 (UTC)

Great additons

Like the new stuff. I like the canon stuff on the manual page...I may move it up under perspective....not sure. Also, I was thinking of adding a category designating characters from those 'referenced' comic books. All right ...gotta go... --Superman Fan 12:05, January 20, 2010 (UTC)

I was thinking about your thinking on the Scooby Doo episodes, and I got to thinking, Wonder Dog comes pretty close to talking.... so why is it stretch to think that Scooby wouldn't be part of the Earth 1a universe. I was actually thinking of creating a bio page for mystery gang that would be relevant to just those episodes. It would have the gang all on one page, with a short bio for each. What do you think? I we do have a page like that, we would have to modify the canon section on the Manual page. And yes, I have seen your talk page for Batman the TV series. I'll post a comment there soon. My one question is how does it fit the Filmation series from about the same time? --Superman Fan 18:38, January 23, 2010 (UTC)

Slaughter Swamp

that sounds fine to me! just follow suit with your blurb on the monolith of evil page and I think thats good. --Superman Fan 23:39, January 29, 2010 (UTC)

A little help...

Hey man, I have 52 mini-articles to write at:Template:ArticleOfTheWeek. Once your at the page, just click on one of the weeks (they are numbered under the section called,Quicklinks / Availability). To see what the mini article should look like go to: Template:ArticleOfTheWeek/4. Any questions just asked.

--Superman Fan 01:54, January 30, 2010 (UTC)

The Whites

I was about to add the template 'article needs image' to Diana White and Daniel Whites page. Are there pictures to add? If not I won't add the template. --Superman Fan 02:24, February 2, 2010 (UTC)

Are you able to scan pics from your comic books yet? Are able to copy pics with your cd burner? I recall a few months ago that you disc drive was fried (as mine is now). --Superman Fan 02:30, February 2, 2010 (UTC)

How is it that you were able to add that picture of Black Mountain? Did you find it on the internet? Just curious. --Superman Fan 02:37, February 2, 2010 (UTC)

Shazam the Wizard

Hey man, I think you said you had the animated series from the early 80's. If you do, does Shazam the Wizard make an appearance? I was wondering what kind of character box is needed on the character page. --Superman Fan 03:34, February 7, 2010 (UTC)

new addtions

hey man, like the additions!

Can I encourage you to use the pages you created (Justice League of America #147, etc.) to be the redirects to the page that is more like Justice League of America, vol. 1 #147 and the same with the other. Make sense? --Superman Fan 23:51, February 8, 2010 (UTC)

additon to SF comic page

the addtion to the SF comic page seems confusing. You state the comic takes place between season 1 and 2. Since the comic ran longer than that, should the reference include specific issues? AL right, gotta go...--Superman Fan 11:55, February 9, 2010 (UTC)

A little help

We need to merge these two pages:

- Continuity with Earth-One

- Earth-1A comics

Do you think you could do this? --Superman Fan 00:30, February 10, 2010 (UTC)

Who is this?

DO you know who this is?

Is it the weedkiller? --Superman Fan 01:21, February 14, 2010 (UTC)

Now that I think about it, I found it some time ago with some other Plastic Man Stuff....I've got so much stuff, I just need to start putting it on the of these days...--Superman Fan 01:27, February 14, 2010 (UTC)

Detective Comics

Do the Detective Comics on the Continuity with Earth-One page, need to be sorted under specific issues of the SF's comic book? --Superman Fan 23:44, February 14, 2010 (UTC)

As Far as I know....

All the info that I put on the original page when I created it, came from a specific website. According to the website, he listed all those comics. As a matter of fact, the line above the list, is pretty much how it was on the site. --Superman Fan 00:04, February 15, 2010 (UTC)

Did the new WW pic come from the series? I know Hippolyta was seen again in one of the shorts but I haven't double checked what she looked like. If it is not an actual pic from the SF series, I would recommend not using it.

Also, if those character additions to the Earth-2A are not part of SF universe (i.e. comic, etc.) I would recommend not using them. Using outside sources only presents a problem.

Hey check out the following link, in the note section of the episode for more links to screen caps for the individual episodes: --Superman Fan 23:55, February 15, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the clarification. If you could cite the picture, that would be cool. --Superman Fan 23:28, February 16, 2010 (UTC)

this site has grown so much!!!!! --Superman Fan 23:33, February 16, 2010 (UTC)

I know

I've noticed that before. Not sure why it does that. Try going to edit the page and then saving it. --Superman Fan 03:59, February 18, 2010 (UTC)

new pics

Are you set up to get screen shots? If not where did you get them? --Superman Fan 02:21, February 26, 2010 (UTC)

citing info

when you add new info, please add where it is from. Thanks! --Superman Fan 02:25, February 26, 2010 (UTC)

Sorry man! I'd just hate for you to forget. I always figure its better to cite everything the first time around! --Superman Fan 17:48, February 27, 2010 (UTC)

Hey man!

Can I encourage you to remove the latest note that you put on Power Girls page. You can put what you want on the user page, But I think it would be best to not have things like that as part of our articles. This not a rule, of this wiki. It just doesn't appear to be necessary. Thanks!

On a different note, I really like the latest additions. I had fun this weekend expanding your articles and making new additions. --Superman Fan 02:33, March 9, 2010 (UTC)

year JLA was formed

What year would you say that the JLA was formed in the Earth-1A universe?

In the Earth-One universe, the JLA was first seen as a team was in 1960. That would simply just not work in the SF universe. On the Martian Manhunter page I plugged in the date of 1964 as the date that he joined the JL. But even that seems to early. Given the shows that together, we have deemed as part of the SF universe, It would seem that a better date would be 1967. And then if the SF are under the umbrella of the JLA (as Bidewell purports) then their formation would be in the early 70's (before 73 of course).

Let me know what you think. I have written a new section to the JLA page and I want to plug in some realistic dates.

Thanks! --Superman Fan 14:33, March 9, 2010 (UTC)

Hall of Justice

I have seen every episode of the SF series, I never remember hearing that the Hall of Justice was in Gotham City. The 1983 shorts, confirm without a doubt that it was in Metropolis.

So my question is, does the Comic book confirm that it was in Gotham?

My sense (according to the show) is that Gotham and Metropolis are adjacent cities. Thus accounting for the confusion. But it never actually states that it is in Gotham. The Season 1 episode, 'Too Hot to Handle' is the closest to suggesting that, but it never confirms this.

I don't mind them being adjacent cities. It would certainly help with the whole re-locating idea. Now if the SF comic book says otherwise, then we have to deal with it.......

--Superman Fan 02:15, March 15, 2010 (UTC)

I have seen many of the articles on-line stating that to be the case. However, that is not sufficient. We need to be the determiner of such things. I can tell you without a doubt that the SF cartoon never actually states that it is Gotham. And as I said, there is much to suggest that Gotham and Metropolis are adjacent cities. So at this point, we have to see if issue #1 of the comic book states that the Hall was in Gotham. If it does not, and its only been speculation, I think we should have the wiki say that it was always in Metropolis. We can indeed mention that it was somewhat vague in the beginning. Hows that sound? --Superman Fan 01:27, March 16, 2010 (UTC)

==SuperFriends Comic, issue 12==
Do you have Super Friends 12? The reason I ask, is because there is a Nightwing mentioned as one of the characters. Is this Robin? I don't know first hand, cause I have a few on-line sources that give synopsis of each story. I was hoping you would have the issue and perhaps shed some light on this. --Superman Fan 13:27, March 22, 2010 (UTC)

whats up?

I was wondering when i'd see you again.

You like the new additions?

--Superman Fan 01:30, March 31, 2010 (UTC)

no. i currently do not have any SF comics. I got lucky and found a page with a lot of pics of them. --Superman Fan 01:25, April 2, 2010 (UTC)

Earth 1B

I was hoping you expand this article and your reasoning / rational for creating a new universe. Also, like you did with similarities, add a section for those things are different. I'd like to know more about why the Super Powers Universe is to be considered different.

Thanks! --Superman Fan 14:16, April 12, 2010 (UTC)

OK! This I believe begins to open the door to Earth-1B pages. One for Firestorm, one for Samurai, one for Darkseid, one for the Hall of Justice, etc....unless we can parse the storyline (Samuari in the early 70's, Firestorm in the late 70's, etc.) Sounds like a lot of work. Have fun! gotta get ready for work! --Superman Fan 14:15, April 13, 2010 (UTC)
If you have the time today, move forward with that idea (adding the 3 volume, notes, etc.). I would move a little slower in the expanding of the Earth-1b universe. I check back with you later tonight when I get back from work. Enjoy your day! --Superman Fan 14:50, April 13, 2010 (UTC)

So help me out, are you saying that just the third volume of the Super Powers comic is from Earth-1B? What are your plans with the expansion of that universe? And your right, I'd prefer not to add another universe. --Superman Fan 22:35, April 17, 2010 (UTC)

Continuity with Earth-One

Under the second point, which is SF comic issue #7, what are do you mean by adding 'This four-part story-arch is referenced in ?????'. I recall when you added that, and I've been meaning to ask you what it meant. I guess I'm looking for clarification. It seems a little vague. What I'm saying that since its under the second point (issue #7), why did you write, 'This four-part story-arch is referenced in ?????'. Make sense?

Also, see my question on Earth-1B above. --Superman Fan 13:40, April 18, 2010 (UTC)

Action Comics Vol 1 544

Your latest article on Action Comics Vol 1 544 doesn't seem to make sense. Are there two stories in this particular issue? If so, I need to make an appropriate template, correct? Let me know. --Superman Fan 13:52, April 22, 2010 (UTC)

Well, I had not created one yet. It is created now. I'm sure you have seen the templates page. You can access it from the left side toolbar, where it says 'help with editing'. I worked pretty hard on it a few months ago. --Superman Fan 23:59, April 24, 2010 (UTC)

Article of the week

It worked! It just needed some time to appear.

Jenet Klyburn

Hello! I believe it was a screen shot (print screen), from an on-line video. Perhaps from the intro to the show. I forget exactly. Oh, and I like the additions to your user page. I agree with almost everything you have there. --Superman Fan 17:22, May 16, 2010 (UTC)

What a day! It looks like we are over 1,000 articles!!!!

Where did you come across all these new images?

Can you capture screen shots?

Also where did you get the R-cycle pic from.

I have a scanner. One of these days I'll get a new computer. My disc drive is still fried and usb port is shot. So I cannot plug into the scanner or capture screen shots. I'm hoping to get a new computer in a few months. Since we don't use credit cards anymore, trying to save money is like watching paint dry....theres always something else you want do (or buy)....

--Superman Fan 14:10, May 22, 2010 (UTC)

On the Chemo-Creature page, why does the name on character box say Achilles? If there is a reason, put as note on the page or something to explain why. Thanks.

Oh, and I agree, where is the love for the SuperFriends. Surly we are not the only fans. --Superman Fan 04:17, May 23, 2010 (UTC)

No I do not have the 1988 Superman series. And until I get a new computer, I cannot do screen captures. I may be able to find a video on-line with the characters and get their pictures that way. --Superman Fan 13:56, May 23, 2010 (UTC)

I'll have to watch the episode again.

Do you have an answer to my above question about the Chemo Creature.

As an FYI - If you have any videos that you have found on-line, I may be able to capture screen-shots (this is different than capture images off DVD's. If you recall my disc drive on my laptop is fried).

Was there a third series of mini-comic with the Super Powers collection? I know there were minicomics with series one and two, but what about the third?

Also, if you have time and if you think it needs it, could add more info to Super Powers Comics (1984-1986).

Thanks, --Superman Fan 15:54, May 30, 2010 (UTC)

Earth 1-B

Should we add an Earth 1-B section to both Samuari and Darkseid.

Also, explain to me again why we could just not move the dates of the Super Powers comics to adhere to the Earth 1-A timeline.

I never heard any feedback concerning the changes to the SuperFriends /JL page. Specifically regarding the timeline I added.
Ar any rate, hope you enjoy your day tomorrow. --Superman Fan 01:54, May 31, 2010 (UTC)

Earth-1B and JLA timeline

Concerning Earth-1B, I have not read any of the comic books. The only way I can see it, is if you say that firestorms origin takes place in the early 80's and Samuari takes place in the early 70's. Being a flash back doesn't matter, that is of course, if Firestorm and Samurai do not interact in the story.

The JLA timeline was based on the Earth-One timeline and Batman an Robins origin (from the late 60's cartoon and age of Robin) and the SF comicbook, the limited edition.

The Earth-One timeline unfolded (more-or-less) in a certain order (from Martian Manhunter [in the comics] to the Thanagarians [in the comics and the Filmation adv. from the late 60's] and so on).

In order for Robin to remain a young man throughout the series, he would have to have been between 14 and 16 in the late 70's.

The dates were then modified to fit the Earth-1A timeline.

The above mentioned comic book, allowed for certain events to become part of the Earth-1A timeline.

Hope that makes sense.

As an aside, the Batman series from 77', in order to fit in our timeline (especially given Robins age), needs to be moved back to either the late 60's or early 70's. When you watch those next (assuming you have them), see where you think the series should fit.

That is all for now. I have a few hours before we gear up for the festivities later....

Superman, 1988 series

Any thoughts on the following blog post over at Animated Superheroes concerning the the Superman 1988 series (and the swamp thing series).

He is right that it takes place post crisis.

I know we use it because it is similar animation and the Wonder Woman voice. But any other reason?

Check out the blog post here: --Superman Fan 13:07, June 13, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the explanation! --Superman Fan 00:07, June 16, 2010 (UTC)

screen shots

are you able to capture screen shots now? --Superman Fan 23:06, July 9, 2010 (UTC)

Not yet! I have to get a new monitor for my dinosaur of a PC, or break down and get a new lap-top.... So far, I have been lucky enough to do 'print screens' on videos i have found on-line.....--Superman Fan 14:35, July 10, 2010 (UTC)

Print Screens

If you can do print screens, follow this link and start capturing pics....I'll add more videos soon. --Superman Fan 16:30, July 10, 2010 (UTC)

why did you change the name of the race and planet. Are you able to use sub-titles on Season 1. If not, it makes more sense to use what was there before. Also, are you able to capture 'print screens' like i mentioned before?

--Superman Fan 18:28, July 24, 2010 (UTC)

Mars and then some...

The Balloonians thing just doesn't make sense.... oh well.

I know what you mean about the episodes being in reverse order. I noticed that too.

About the Hall, the way I watched Gulliver's Gigantic Goof, seemed to to suggest that Gotham and Metropolis were very close.

--Superman Fan 00:17, July 28, 2010 (UTC)

what doesn't make sense is the title of the episode and the spelling in the sub-title. It's not consistent. Not a big deal. About Season 1, I'll have to watch again. --Superman Fan 00:26, July 28, 2010 (UTC)

Camelot is the castle, not the city:

--Superman Fan 00:50, July 28, 2010 (UTC)

it is a city too. It was initially a castle and sort of evolved into the city.
--Superman Fan 01:28, July 28, 2010 (UTC)

Print Screens

IF you use windows, the print screen button is usually in the top right area of the keyboard. Just press it and open up the paint program and paste it and save. --Superman Fan 01:24, August 3, 2010 (UTC)

you figure out how to get print screens? --Superman Fan 00:22, August 6, 2010 (UTC)
great! i'm jealous. In the Season 2 episode, The Time Trap, there is an overhead shot of Metropolis around the 35:25 mark that could be used as the primary one for the page. If it is a panoramic shot, e-mail the shots to me and I can creat one picture like I did for two of the pics found here. --Superman Fan 00:35, August 6, 2010 (UTC)

Hey man, as an FYI, make sure that you use the templates located here. Many of the character templates have been updated, so copying and pasting them from other pages will not reflect the updated templates. --Superman Fan 00:24, August 11, 2010 (UTC)

Harbor City

Hey man, we need a better image on the Harbor City page. Thanks!! --Superman Fan 16:49, August 14, 2010 (UTC)

Not sure how much you like to know spoiler-wise for Smallville, but it is rumored that a character, who appears to be Isis appears on the show. This woman is a High School Science Teacher who calls upon the powers of an Egyptian amulet. Source: --Superman Fan 00:57, August 17, 2010 (UTC)

Hey man!

I am moving again. And in addition to packing we really need a new laptop. This one is practically held together by duct tape. So, I will not be on here as much as I have been. Once we get a new laptop, I'll be at least logged in more often. It may be a few months, but I'll be back at it. --Superman Fan 15:11, September 4, 2010 (UTC)

How goes things?

I see you have accomplished quite a lot.

I'll be back more frequently soon!

--Superman Fan 23:44, October 16, 2010 (UTC)

new computer

I have a new lap top now. So I should be back at it soon. What the hell happened to the wiki? It looks terrible. They completely screwed it up!!! --Superman Fan 00:43, November 6, 2010 (UTC)

Ya.... know. If you got to your user name on the top right and use the drop down option you can click preferences. Then scroll down to to site layout. You now have to choices. The one we had gotten used to is gone. Its a catch 22. We either deal with small view because it has better features or we change to a similar look of the old look with less features. Either way they both suck. --Superman Fan 19:56, November 6, 2010 (UTC)

Check out the e-mail I had with the wikia staff:

Hi Guiseppi,

Thanks for your feedback. We definitely understand where you’re coming from.
Many users liked Monaco, so we get that the change is a big thing.
Unfortunately, though, we can’t continue to support multiple skins; if we
supported all past skins, we would have half a dozen different skins. The
problem with allowing multiple skins is that we can only realistically develop
features for one, and unsupported skins will inevitably break. Monaco is
included in that, particularly because Monaco, by its nature, is very complex
and sophisticated. We like Monaco too, but resources are finite and we’ve
decided to put our resources into this new skin.

Hopefully that helps explain why we're not able to keep Monaco. Over the next
few weeks and months, though, we'll be studying how the new look is used, and
we may make tweaks and changes based on that. Thanks again for your feedback.

Best regards,

New Look

I changed the look of both MonoBook and the New Wiki look. What do you think? Are you able to navigate better through both options using the navigation menus? Can you alternate between views easily.... are my directions easy enough to follow? Which option do you prefer? I have to tell you that if they get rid of MonoBook, I may not stick around..... --Superman Fan 01:02, November 17, 2010 (UTC)

Have you seen my question above? Your feedback is appreciated. Also on a different note, I see that you expanded the wiki quite a bit....nice work. I do have one observation, please cite both episodes and the sources of the pictures you add. It really provides a context for bothe the avid fan as well as the casual observer. Thanks for all your really is your wiki. --Superman Fan 13:08, November 29, 2010 (UTC)

Yes I have. There have been really good episodes this season. Reminiscent of the first few seasons. I absolutely loved 'Homecoming.' Such a good episode. Then the last 10 minutes of Isis was really good too. Did you get your $10 season 9 on black friday? Any way, take care. --Superman Fan 23:41, November 29, 2010 (UTC)

Hi, thanks for the input, I know which series and which episode
is a picture that you put in LEX CORP, expect an answer thanks

I did not ask the above question. Don't know what that is about. --Superman Fan 01:47, December 8, 2010 (UTC)

merging the pages

hey man, not a fan of merging the kryptonian pages, I think it would be best to leave the separate. Like the separate Superman pages or the separate Metropolis pages. Let me know what you think.... --Superman Fan 00:14, December 22, 2010 (UTC)

didn't expect you to change it so quickly. --Superman Fan 01:54, December 23, 2010 (UTC)

MonoBook or the New Wikia look.

Which view do you prefer? --Superman Fan 00:22, December 22, 2010 (UTC)

Gotcha. But I don't think you understand exactly what I was asking. Wikia made a change. Before the change the look defaulted to the Monaco look. The Monaco option is completely gone. We now have to choose between the MonoBook or the New Wikia look. The New Wiki look is set up more like a facebook page or a blog. The main content of the page is just in the center and the tool bar as at the top. The MonoBook option takes up the entire page and the tool bar is on the left side. On this option, I have also added what is called a 'site notice' that is located at the top of every page. I was asking out the two options wikia has given us, which one do you you prefer? Have you seen the site notice? Did you know that you can alternate between the two, etc. Let me know. --Superman Fan 23:21, December 23, 2010 (UTC)
Understood. The old 'Monaco look' is completely gone. I miss it too. For the two that we do have (for now), I was able to get a screen capture of the 'MonoBook Look' and the 'New Wiki Look'. It sounds like you use the New Look based on the way you described the Character box. Honestly I don't know how to fix that. I rarely use the new look. I use the MonoBook look. To switch between the too, go to the preferences page. Scroll down to the 'Site Layouts' section and click the radio button to select your preferred option. Let me know if it works. --Superman Fan 18:31, December 25, 2010 (UTC)

Superman (1940s shorts)

Hey man, love the 1940;s cartoon stuff you have added. You realize that you are the first to work on that stuff. You won't find it any where else on the web. If you could add the category: 'Category:Superman (1940s shorts)' to every page that has to done with the series that would be cool. I also think that when you create pages for this series that have to do with locations or buildings, the categories should be: 'Locations (Earth-2a)' and 'Buildings (Earth-2a)' , etc. Make sense?

I also wanted to know if you saw my addition to the above question. I asked a follow up question. What do you think? --Superman Fan 02:58, January 5, 2011 (UTC)

New Super Friends cartoon

yes....add it. I would not try to make it fit in the universe or the time line, but it would be cool to add it. --Superman Fan 03:05, January 5, 2011 (UTC)

SF Comics

I remember you saying that the Super Friends comics you have are:
:1, 8, 10, 12, 13, 25, 28, 29, 31, 36, 37 and 40.

I was able to purchase on e-bay:
25-28, 30-43, and 45-46

I also ordered these, but they have not arrived yet:
* Limited Collectors' Edition #C-41 (January 1976)
* The Super Friends Special (July 1, 2001)
* Super Friends! Truth, Justice and Peace (May 1, 2003)

I'm gonna scan them in this weekend.

Are you able to scan pages yet? If you can and you just don't want to work on them just e-mail (see my user page) the pictures to me and I'll work on them. All you have to do is 1, 8, 10, 12, 13 and 29.

Alright enjoy your day, gotta get ready for work.

--Superman Fan 12:56, January 6, 2011 (UTC)

The New Wikia look.

Its amazing how they single-handedly destroyed the moral of several wiki users. You should read posts on other wiki pages, especially the Star Trek wiki. I miss the 'Monaco look' too.

I spent hours customizing it and formatting templates to work with Monaco. Now we have to choose between, 'MonoBook Look' and the 'New Wiki Look'. If they take the 'MonoBook' option away, it will be tough to continue editing. I absolutely hate the 'new look'. It completely destroys the purpose of the 'encyclopedia' approach. And the whole citing the user who uploaded the picture, completely violates the free usage of the pictures... because they don't usually belong to the user who uploaded them, but the studio, etc. That is why I use the 'MonoBook'.

Anyway...I gotta go.

Not sure I see why a 'sister city' of Atlantis would be placed on the Atlantis city page, since it is not actually from the continent of Atlantis. --Superman Fan 00:59, January 7, 2011 (UTC)

did you see?

Did you see the above messages I left? There are a few...

1980 and 1981 shorts

I own the above shorts, do you.?

Most of the episodes I have are better quality than the ones you find on you tube.

I also own Season 4.

I'm getting an itch to capture the screen shots and start adding stuff from these 3 series.

What do you have?

--Superman Fan 14:28, January 9, 2011 (UTC)

At any time you want to e-mail me directly as opposed to leaving a message here, feel free. As far as being on here as much, i understand. I struggle for time too. I have a more demanding job now and the kids are getting to that age that they need their daddy to play with them when i have the time.

I have bought several SF comic books on e-bay. One of theses days I'll begin to work on them.

Check out my messages above, I left a few that you have not acknowledge yet. Let me know what you think. --Superman Fan 12:17, February 2, 2011 (UTC)

Number of edits!!

Are you trying to catch up with me??? Slow down....your gonna pass me soon. I'm kidding. I love much of what you have done....The wiki has grown quite abit....many thanks to you!!! --Superman Fan 14:37, February 26, 2011 (UTC)

Fan fiction

I have no problem with the idea. Go for it!!! Get yourself out there. --Superman Fan 02:27, March 21, 2011 (UTC)

I'll check on it soon....

Glad to see that you are up and running.

Have you noticed I upgraded you user rights?

--Superman Fan 11:57, April 13, 2011 (UTC)

How goes things?

I see that you have passed me up for the number of edits. How are the admin rights working for you? I am always still around and check my e-mails often enough to see all the great work you continue to do. You're doing a great job. I'm a little discouraged by the new format. I really don't like it. At any rate, I'm always around. --Superman Fan 23:55, June 7, 2011 (UTC)

user rights

You are now a bureaucrat.

If you are wondering why I have not been on lately, its simply because I am not a fan of the new look. I don't even use it. Every time I login, it defaults me to the MonoBook look. By changing it, its like they let the air out of a balloon.....deflating mine (and I sure others) interest.

--Superman Fan 12:32, June 19, 2011 (UTC)

How goes things?

Yo man. I hope you enjoy them. I wanted you to consider not making a page for every time mentioned unless it is relevant to the over continuity of the show. There is so much to cover and we have barely scratched the surface. To do so will just bog you down. At any rate, have fun. --Superman Fan 00:44, June 21, 2011 (UTC)

Check it...

I got the above notification. I'm sending it your way.

Recent Changes

I was looking at your recent changes and I have 3 concerns:

  • On the Zycree page you added a note. The not is great, but you may want to cite your source.
    * I would not use he material from the The New Adventures of the Wonder Twins as canon. It may be too crude for this page.
    * You replaced Jack of the The Wild Cards gang with another Jack. The link from the The Wild Cards gang page now goes to this new character.

Did you check out the e-mail I sent you directly?

I check on the progress all the time....through my e-mail notifications.

Things look great around here.

If you need anything let me know.

You waiting for 'Batman: Year One'? Comes out next Tues.

Any take care and have fun.

new pics

I was checking out the New York Harbor page.

I was thinking that it may be best to use SuperFriends images (if there are any) as the primary pic on that page. Then, by all means add pics from other sources.

Make sense?
