Turtle

A turtle was a type of reptile that was mainly native to the planet known as Earth, although certain species were also known to exist on other worlds in outer space. There were a variety of different species of turtles, many of which were aquatic, such as sea turtles, and also the land turtles, which were called tortoises.

Turtles had a shell that protected most of their body, except for their head, tail and legs. Still, if desired, a turtle could retract all of those body parts inside its' shell, keeping it completely protected from many predatory animals.
