A train was a type of vehicle that ran on railroad tracks. A train that ran above street-level was called an elevated train, whereas an underground train was called a subway train.
The front of the train was typically where the engine was located, which was called a Locomotive. The back of the train was usually called a caboose.

When The Flash picked up Wonder Dog to take him into the volcanic hideout of Kolbar, he jokingly told him to hop aboard the "Malaba Express," although he actually meant himself because their was no such train on that island.[2]
