Superman as the Tin Woodsman.
The Tin Woodsman or Tin Man was a fictional character from L. Frank Baum's The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
In 1979, after Mr. Mxyzptlk transported the Super Friends to the planet of Oz by using a tornado, he transformed them into characters from the story. He transformed Superman into the Tin Woodsman.[1]
In 1985, Lex Luthor called Cyborg a "teenage Tin Man.[2]
Background Information
The Tin Woodsman in this episode is patterned after Jack Haley who portrayed this character in the 1939 musical film of "Oz".
