The Flintstones was an animated sitcom that was popular in America.
It starred the characters Fred Flintstone and his best friend Barney Rubble, who lived next door to him in a Stone Age city.
The show premiered September 30, 1960. It lasted six seasons, with the final episode airing on April Fools' Day in 1966.
In 1971, the characters from The Flintstones were used to promote Fruity and Cocoa Pebbles cereals; with Fred Flintstone serving as the spokesman for the product.
In the real world, The Flintstones was made by Hanna-Barbera, just like the Superfriends was. Many voice actors from Superfriends and other related material were also voice actors for The Flintstones, such as Janet Waldo, John Stephenson, Don Messick, Howard Morris and perhaps more.
