Eventually I'd like to write a list of metahumans in this article. The only problem I have right now is that it's not certain just who exactly may be a metahuman and who isn't. Even the article at the DC Database doesn't list who is a metahuman and who isn't.

To make matters more confusing, sometimes aliens, such as Superman, who looks like a human with super powers, is referred to incorrectly as a metahuman. (but then again this could be accurate if you think of the fact that Kryptonians could have been a subspecies of the Atlanteans that left Earth prior to the sinking of Atlantis)

Still, there are other questions. For example, are Samurai, Apache Chief and El Dorado metahuman or Homo Magi? Actually Apache Chief may not be either, after all his power came from magic powder, which just might give any race such abilities, even normal humans.

As for Samurai, if you go by the Super Power comics, his powers came from the New Gods, indicating he could have been a metahuman, but then, at the same time, he uses what appears to be magic words to activate his abilities. That makes him sound like he might be a homo magi.

El Dorado's powers seem to come from ancient sources, such as the Mayans or Incans, both of which inhabited Mexico in ancient times. But this too seems like the ability of a homo magi, rather than a metahuman.

What about Atlanteans or Amazons? Both of them have been referred to as metahuman cultures in the comics, and also in the Batman v Superman film, but their races also have roots in magic, making it seem as though there could at least be a touch of homo magi ancestry within their races...who knows?

I'd like to expand on this in the article at some point, using conjectural information to give possible explanations as to these various possible metahuman cultures.
