This was the first Super Friends DVD release from the DC Comics Classic Collection by Warner Home Video.
Despite being referred to as "the First Season" in the title; this release only featured sixteen episodes from season 3; so not only was this not the complete first season, but it also wasn't even the complete third season.
The remaining episodes from season 3 were released on Super Friends: Volume Two; which was also titled inaccurately, since there never was a "Super Friends: Volume One."
