Super-Apes were a group of intelligent gorillas, native to Gorilla City.
Their race was known as the Calorians, as they were originally from the planet Calor.

- Although Toto is also considered a Super-Ape, he is not a member of the same race, as he was an ordinary chimpanzee that was transformed into a Super-Ape by Green Kryptonite radiation. Furthermore, he wasn't sentient, he was just powerful.
- The Super-Apes first appeared in Flash Vol. 1 #106 (May 1959).[1]
