Speed limit

A woman nearly runs over Batman and Robin with her car, because she was driving faster than the speed limit[1]

Road speed limits are put in place by Law Enforcement agencies with the intent of keeping traffic safe. It is against the law to drive faster than the posted speed limit, and it is a crime if one is speeding excessively.
