The South Pole is located in Antarctica, geographically opposite of the North Pole, which is located in the Arctic Circle.
Superman flew to the South Pole and burrowed his way down into the ice cap, tunneling his way to Molesville, making a pipeline, so that cool air can get down to the subterranean jungle, which was previously quite hot.[2]
