Smoke language

Smoke language[1]

The smoke language was a unique form of communication used by an alien race known as the Tigermen.

Despite this species' resemblance to Earth tigers, they had no ears, therefore they had no use for verbal communication, as no spoken word could be heard by them.

Therefore, it is apparent that at some point during their ancient history, they developed a method similar to smoke signals, as they had some sort of steamy breath, that was similar to the way a dragon had fire breath, and they were able to manipulate it with their noses or mouths to take on certain shapes which represented their language.

When Humans made first contact with this race, the Tigermen believed that Humans were dumb animals, but eventually Tommy Tomorrow developed a method of communicating with them by creating smoke signals.[2]
