Powers and Abilities[]
Super Powers[]
- No Physical Body: He was a ghost, and therefore he was nothing more than a spirit, a completely noncorporeal lifeform, and therefore, solid matter simply passed through him.
- Transformation: Despite being an intangible ghost, when he willed it, he was capable of transforming himself into solid matter that could be touched. For example, he took on the form of a flag, and then he turned into his skeleton form. Plus, at one point Gleek was able to kick him, which actually physically affected him.
- Matter Manipulation: After murdering his enemies, he could bring them back to life; reconstructing them as skeleton monsters.
Abilities[]
- Swordsmanship: He was skilled at the use of his Light Saber.
Weaknesses[]
- Power Limitation: By transforming his ghostly body into a solid body, he made himself every bit as vulnerable to assault as any normal person would have been, because without his intangibility, he wasn't immune to getting hurt. This was how Gleek was able to defeat him, by kicking him in the chest.
History[]
Earth 1956[]
At one time, the Skeleton Pirate flew his flying pirate ship in the skies over the surface of a planet that existed within the inner world of the Magic Lamp of Olam.
His ship was capable of shooting what appeared to be laser beams. He also had a pet parrot that he had on his shoulder, and he carried a Light Saber as well.[2]
At some point however, he crashed his ship on the ground. And he just continued haunting the wreckage of the ship, taking on the form of the flag, and waiting for others to come along for him to victimize.
Eventually, Zan, Jayna and Gleek come along, and he again takes on the form of a skeleton. He runs after them, swinging his Light Saber at them. He eventually catches up to them in a forest, but Gleek grabs a tree vine, and as if he was acting out a scene from Tarzan the Ape Man; he delivered a swinging kick into the Skeleton Pirate's chest, which takes him down.[3]
