Professor Silas Stone[2] was a cybernetics expert at Star Labs during the 20th century.

History[]

Earth 1956[]

According to Professor Martin Stein, Silas Stone saved his son Vic's life by replacing his injuries with cybernetic components.[3]

Earth-One[]

In this continuity, Silas was responsible for a lab accident which destroyed over 90% of his son Victor's body, and the death of his wife.

His father found a way to replace his injured body parts with cybernetic systems, saving his life.

His son, soon comes to be known as Cyborg. It's uncertain Vic's accident happened the same way on Earth 1956.

At some point later, Silas Stone died.[4]

References[]

  1. He worked for Star Labs in the comics, but it was never mentioned in the series.
  2. His name was never given in the series, but this was his name in the comics.
  3. As seen in the Superfriends season nine episode The Seeds of Doom (September 14, 1985).
  4. This is implied by Professor Stein saying that he was a cybernetics expert. This implies that he either no longer has a job in this field or he no longer is, meaning he's deceased. He's most likely dead on Earth 1956 as well though, as he died on Earth-One.
  5. This was a story that was included in a comic book featuring the story Between Friends and Foe!, which was reprinted in Super Powers Annual (1985).
