Sesame Street was a road located somewhere in Manhattan, New York.
Bert and Ernie were a couple of Muppets that lived in an apartment on this street.

On one occasion, Bert and Ernie, two roomies that lived in an apartment on Sesame Street; were having an argument over which TV show to watch on TV. Bert wanted to watch The Man from Alphabet, but Ernie wanted to watch Batman. After endlessly going back-and-forth at each other, Batman, who was on the TV screen; broke the fourth wall and asked them who they watched yesterday. They both told him that it was him, Batman. Batman then told them both that they should take turns, and today they can watch The Man from Alphabet, and then tomorrow they can watch Batman. They both agree, and Ernie walks up to the television and changes the channel, and then they watch the Man from Alphabet.[2]
