Samurai Jack was a samurái warrior who was a native of Feudal Japan.
At some point while he was battling his archenemy Aku, the shapeshifting supervillain opened up a time warp, and Jack fell through it, and was hurled thousands of years into the future, where he found himself in a dark period of time.
His only mission in life at that point became finding a way to get back to the past to undo the terrible dystopian future he found himself in.

When Superman and the Powerpuff Girls were taking on Mojo Jojo, Zorak, Lex Luthor, Dick Dastardly and Red Character; all of whom were piloting a robotic suit, Samurai Jack climbed to the top of the giant robot and and stabbed it in the head, causing it to fall to the ground and explode.[1]
