Robbery was an act of theft, although unlike traditional theft, it involved using force or threats of using force, and instilling fear into a person so that they would allow them to proceed with the theft. One of the most common types of robberies was bank robbery.

When Doctor LeBon and Wilbur stole a variety of diamonds, it was at times considered robbery, although it was actually burglary.[2]
