The Star 'Rao'

Rao was the name of a red sun somewhere in the universe. The planet Krypton once orbited this star.
Krypton was already doomed when the planet's core became unstable, but when Rao went supernova, there was no way to save Krypton from certain destruction.

- In the comics, Rao was named after the Kryptonian's divine entity known as Rao, the God of the Sun.
