A professor was the highest academic rank in the field of education.
In most cases, a professor also had the highest degree that is awarded to students in the higher education system, making them doctors of a certain field of science.
The title was used on Earth, Colu, and possibly other worlds throughout the Milky Way Galaxy and beyond.
