The Pleistocene Era was an time during the Earth's prehistoric age.
It was sometime during this period that one of many Ice Ages occurred on Earth. Many early mammals that would later become extinct lived during this period on Earth, such as the megatherium, glyptodon, mastodon, mammoth and saber-tooth tiger.
Superman once visited this era via time travel when his brain was altered to think he was a caveman.[2]
