Painting was an art that involved using paint to paint a picture. Many famous paintings were hung on walls in museums. One place in particular was the Louvre Art Museum in Paris, which had on display the famous Mona Lisa. Often times paintings were copied onto lithographs.
A number of paintings were part of a large art collection in the Vanderbulge Mansion.[2]
