History[]
Earth-72169[]
Ernie and Bert existed on this Earth. They were once in their basement apartment on Sesame Street arguing over what to watch on TV. Ernie wanted to watch Batman, but Bert wanted to watch The Man from Alphabet.
As the argument heated up, Batman spoke to them through the TV and taught them the importance of taking turns watching the shows they want to watch. Since they'd watched Batman the day before, they went ahead and watched The Man from Alphabet, with plans to watch Batman the next day.[3]
Real World[]
On this Earth, The Muppet Babies appear in a commercial for Saturday morning cartoons on CBS. They appeared along with other fictional characters such as Superman, Raggedy Anne, Raggedy Andy, Garfield, Jon Arbuckle, Odie, Ernest P. Worrell, Pee Wee Herman, Mighty Mouse and others.[4]
Earth-One[]
On this Earth, the Muppets were fictional characters. Changeling once mentioned how their battle with Trigon was not "the same as takin' on the Muppets."[5]
Notes[]
- The Muppets were created by Jim Henson and first appeared in Sam and Friends (May 9, 1955).[6]
