Mongul was an alien supervillain from the planet-sized spacecraft known as Warworld.

History[]

Earth-One[]

On the twenty-ninth of February, which was the Man of Steel's birthday, Mongul used Superman's Teleportation Channel to deliver him his "birthday present," which was a Black Mercy, which latched onto him and forced him to live out his heart's desire. By the time Superman broke free from it, it was incredibly painful to him, and he was angry at Mongul for putting him through that.

He beats him up, punching him again and again, nearly killing him, but he holds back from do that, instead restraining himself. But in so doing, Mongul began fighting him, beating him as well, but Robin, who had came with Batman and Wonder Woman, tossed the Black Mercy at Mongul, causing him to live out his own fantasy, thereby defeating him.

Mongul dreamed that he killed Robin and Superman, and then conquered Thanagar, killing multiple Thanagarians. Brainiac and many other cosmic super-villains bowed before him.[2]
