Military is any organization that is dedicated to the defense of a certain nation. Most militaries are organized by an agency a nation's government. For example, the United States Military is organized by the United States Department of Defense. Militaries are tasked with protection of their countries and every military officer, which is called a soldier, is trained in the art of combat, weapon use, particularly firearms.
There are many different types of militaries that are often deployed by such agencies in times of war, or other crises. There are military organizations that operate on land, sea, air and in outer space.
Types of militaries
Army
An army is a military organization that is primarily with military operations on land. Firearms, tanks and other military vehicles are often provided for officers who serve in an army. People serving in an army are also heavily trained in infantry combat.
A navy is a military organization that operates in the sea. Navies make use of battleships and submarines.
Marines
Marines are military teams that operate on land, sea and in the air. They are highly trained in infantry combat. The United States Marine Corps is an example of what marines are.
Space navies are similar to navies, except they operate in outer space. Military organizations like this were used for interplanetary or interstellar military operations. The Spacemen Fleet is an example of a space navy.
