Lila Labonne was a brilliant French lab technician who worked for Simeon Shamon. She assisted him with his sky mining operation. But once she learned that he was too greedy to use caution in regard of the matter, she terminated her employment.
Lila helped the Super Friends isolate the mysterious element in Earth's atmosphere caused by Shamon's sky mining experiments. She and Wonder Woman named the element "Shamonite."

- Genius-Level Intellect: Lila was every bit as brilliant as the Shamon, but she lacked his greed, which allowed her to see the situation for what it really was, and not allowing her judgement to become clouded. Unlike Shamon, who was too greedy to see it, she was aware that there could be dangerous side effects to sky mining.
- Mining: She evidently had some familiarity with mining, as she was helping Shamon with his sky mining experiment. That is until she quit.
- Astronomy: She was familiar with the science of astronomy. In fact, she may have had a better understanding of it then Shamon did, as she knew that there could be consequences with mining unknown elements from outer space.
