The Last Supper or Passover meal was the final meal to be eaten by Jesus Christ in Jerusalem with his apostles prior to his execution by the Jews under the Roman Empire.
It was during this meal that Jesus predicted that there was a traitor among his followers, which later turned out to be Judas Iscariot.
The meal consisted of bread and wine. The bread symbolized his body; and the wine symbolized his blood, which was to be "poured out" in exchange for Humanity, who were all doomed because of their sins. The wine was drank out of a cup that would come to be known as the "Holy Grail."
