The Land of Nod is a location mentioned in the Bible. It is a land east of Eden, the land that Cain traveled to after killing his brother Abel. It was there he had a son and built the city of Enoch, which he named after his son. In modern times, when a person says they're going to the "Land of Nod," it typically means they are going to sleep.
