Throughout human history, particularly the Middle Ages, a jester was an entertainer that put on shows for people in fairs or marketplaces, and often times even entertained kings.
They often would perform magic, acrobatics, music and dancing. Styro was King Plasto's personal jester.[2]
Toyman and Harley Quinn dress up like jesters.
