Jelly was typically a fruit spread with sugar; and it was often stored in a jar and paired with peanut butter on sandwiches. It was also commonly spread on toast, and used as a fruit filling for doughnuts.
Batman once ate a chocolate fudge marshmallow jelly cookie, which was Sweet Tooth's favorite type of cookie.[2]
