An injury was when a person was physically harmed in some manner, often times through violence or automobile accidents.
Some injuries, such as minor wounds, could have been treated with bandages and were not that serious, although others, such as an injury one would receive from a gunshot, would be very serious, and sometimes fatal, because such a wound would make it far more likely for the person to die from blood loss.[2]

Circa 1976, in order to avoid injuring a large amount of starfish eating away at a coral reef near a Coastal City, Superman used the artificial wind from a Hollywood wind machine to blow them safely into the sea.[3]
The Bizarro Wonder Woman poured an entire water tank into a building, causing it to flood and burst the windows, washing out several people, causing them to fall from two stories up, which caused a lot of injuries.[4]
