She was the pet of Doctor Pelagian, who named her after Helen of Troy, the famous character from Greek mythology.

She was used, just as Hector was, to declare Doctor Pelagian's demands to his enemies on dry land, that had been polluting the oceans.

- Flight: As a species of seabird, as it is with most birds, Helen possessed the ability of flight. This was not a super power though, as it was a natural ability of her species, which was albatross.
