A party on the night of Halloween.[1]

Halloween was an autumn festival that was typically observed on the thirty-first of October.

It involved trick-or-treating, making lanterns out of pumpkins, that were called jack o' lanterns; and also parties were common on this date.

Historically, Halloween was a festival of the dead, and so people would often times dress up in macabre costumes, such as ghosts, witches, vampires and zombies.

In the 20th century, although the macabre part of Halloween still existed, some people; especially kids, dressed in costumes that were more cute than scary, such as superheroes, pirates, cowboys, princesses and clowns.
