Fountains such as drinking fountains; were used to supply drinking water to people.
Although some were constructed simply for the purpose of art, and not always for a water supply, as in many instances fountains had statues on them.[2]

There was a fountain located at the front of the Mgrain Hotel.
It had the statues of a mermaid and some dolphins.
It was destroyed by the Bizarro Firestorm.[3]
