Alpha Lyrae (also called "Vega") was a star that was the primary body of the Vega star system.
It was about twenty-six light years from Earth, in the constellation of Lyra. There were at least twenty-two worlds that orbit the star, most of which were inhabited by intelligent life. Circling the star was a ring that stretched somewhere between 600 million to 2 billion miles from it, which is called the "Ring of Life," or "X'Hal's Crown," a seemingly murky, almost continuous ring of matter. The ring is made up of asteroids, dust, moons and the twenty-two planets.
Notes[]
- Alpha Lyrae made it's first appearance in Green Lantern # 142 (July 1981).[2]
