A hovercar was a type of car that could hover a few feet over the ground, due to some type of magnetism or anti-gravity device.
This meant it was a type of hovermobile. Unlike traditional cars, hovercars did not necessarily have wheels. Although some may have, because they could convert from standard mode to hover mode.

Hovercars existed on both Earth and Lexor, as well as other alien worlds throughout the depths of space.
Hovercars were common on the planet Vega.[3]
The WildC.A.T.s also had their own hovercar. They used it on their mission to recruit Reno Bryce into their team.[4]
