A guitar was a type of stringed instrument.
It was among the most common instruments in music, used in virtually every genre, from country music, to rock and roll, cajun music and even to some extent, classical music.
When Marvin White and Wendy Harris were watching a country and western television station on a G.E.E.C. TV, a cowboy was playing a guitar, although opera could be heard rather than his own song, which could only be heard on the opera channel.[3]
