Dexter Myles was a former Shakespearean actor who became the curator of the Flash Museum after helping the Flash foil a robbery. He was incredibly committed to his job, having overseen the rebuilding of the museum on several occasions, following its destruction by super-villains or accidents.

Background Information[]

In the parallel-universe of Earth-One, Dexter Myles was one of the greatest and most famous Shakespearean Stage Actor in the U.S. Unfortunately, Dexter had fallen on hard times. His style of actor was no longer in demand.

He had heard about a new playhouse in Blue Valley, Nebraska (the home of Rudy and Mary West and their son Wally), so he went to inquire about a job; but his style of acting was of no interest to them. He decided then to take in a local parade and collapsed in front of a parade float ridden by Kid Flash, who whisked him to safety. The young speedster took an interest in the old actor, and helped him get to his next interview. He learned that the men who had hired him were actually crooks in need of a distraction. With the publicity, the real festival committee hired Dexter on for the summer.[1]

The following summer the actor found himself again out of work and homeless, drifting this time to Central City, Missouri to visit the Flash Museum. While there, he fell asleep on bench. This led to a ‘chance encounter’ with Barry Allen a close-friend of the Flash. Which in-turn led to a recommendation to the Flash that the museum hire him as a guide, which led to a job as curator. The Flash Museum turned out to be Dexter’s second great calling. His renditions of the stories behind each exhibit brought many people. To this day it is difficult to imagine the museum without him—or indeed, him without the museum.[2]

Over the years, Dexter became a trusted friend of the Flash and of Barry and Iris Allen.

During the summer of 77', Dexter is a co-host on a telethon hosted by Justice League and the SuperFriends.[3]
