DC UNIVERSE

[1]

DC UNIVERSE was an online service operated by DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Digital Networks. From 2017-2021 it functioned as a place to read digital comics, including the Superfriends comics. It also functioned as a streaming service, where one could stream films and TV shows based on DC Comics. By 2021, the streaming service was dropped, and the service became exclusively a place to read digital comics. Even the name was changed to DC Universe Infinite.

In addition to multiple DC Comics properties, nearly all of seasons one-nine of the Superfriends was available for streaming at DC UNIVERSE. The only season that was incomplete was season 3, which only had the Challenge of the SuperFriends episodes, but not the other thirty-minute stories, such as Rokan: Enemy from Space and fifteen others.

The New Adventures of Superman and Batman were also available to stream on DC UNIVERSE, as well as the Legends of the Superheroes.

It featured a daily news show called DC Daily, which had a special premiere via live stream, and it was hosted by Kevin Smith. The series first episode later launched when DC UNIVERSE launched; on September 15, 2018, which was also Batman Day.

Now the service is exclusively devoted to comics, with no video content whatsoever, however many of the content that was previously available on this service moved over to HBO Max, including the Filmation Aquaman animated series.
