Earth-1A Information[]

Aside from the following two events, little is known about James Gordon.

In the late 1960s and early 1970s, he helped Batman and Robin as a regular ally.

In the late 1970s, the Legion of Doom held Gordon hostage at Police Headquarters so as to lure Batman into a deathtrap, so that they could use the Noxium crystal on him.

In the mid 1980s, James Gordon and the Gotham City Police Department worked with a specialist on criminology, Professor Jonathan Crane, to track down the Scarecrow. Although Gordon had no idea at the time, it was later figured out by Batman that Professor Crane is in reality the Scarecrow.
