Somewhere on the world of Eternia.[1]
Eternia was a planet located somewhere in the depths of space and possibly in a another dimension. It was the homeworld of the Eternians and many other species.
The champion superhero of this planet was known as He-Man, who; unknown to anyone else, was actually the prince of Eternia named Adam.
Skeletor, the archenemy of He-Man once brought Superman to this world and time, using his magic to force him to kill He-Man. This plan ultimately fails however, and Superman leaves Eternia, heading back to Earth.[2]

The location of Eternia was never made clear. It was described as existing in a dimension and time that was an "infinite" distance from Earth 1956 of the year 1982. This implied that it was not only located in another dimension, but also the distant future.
This would better explain the presence of Humans among the Eternian people. Very likely their ancestors were from Earth, who likely left their Earthly home hundreds or even thousands of years after the 20th century. Still, it's impossible to determine if a version of Earth even existed in the universe that Eternia existed in; so therefore, it's hard to say just what Human beings Eternians were the descendants of. They could be the descendants of the Humans from Earth of Earth 1956; or the Earth located in the universe that Eternia was located in -- assuming of course there was an Earth in that universe.
