Diamond

Diamonds[1]

Diamond was carbon in a solid form. It was actually a very strong gemstone, one of the hardest substances in the world. They were formed when carbon compounds were put under tremendous heat and pressure.[2]

Diamonds were often used when making jewelry such as an engagement ring. Zircons that resembled diamonds were sometimes mistaken for real diamonds.[3]

The teeth of the sawfish were often described as diamond-like.[4]

History[]

Earth 1956[]

There were diamonds located near a volcanic fissure in Molesville, but it proved to be difficult for the Mole family to approach them, because the heat was so intense because the fissure was spewing blue flames.[5]

Known diamonds[]

  • Heart of Darkness
  • Quatermain diamond
