Desire

Mongul talking about desire.[1]

Desire was an emotion in which a person had a longing for something.

For example, a person who frequently felt loneliness would have likely had a desire to meet someone to fall in love with and marry.[2]

History[]

Earth-1A[]

Black Mercy was an alien plant that formed a symbiotic connection with someone and fed their mind there heart's desire.

The dream world that the Black Mercy put its' host in was so desirable, that in order for the person to awaken from that dream, they'd have to give up that "reality," thus experiencing the pain of loss, which was a terrible grief. Mongul described it as being like ripping "your own arm off."[3]
