This Deep Cave in the Andes Mountains was a cave that a rare breed of South American bat lived.
There were also spiders that were dwelling in this cave, with at at least one spider that was a giant.

Earth 1956[]
In 1977, when the Superfriends were trying to find an antidote for the people that Count Dracula transformed into vampires, their search took them to this Deep Cave in the Andes Mountains, where a certain type of gas existed that caused a rare breed of South American bat to be immune to vampire bats and vampires.
The Dynamic Duo descended into the cave, and collected some of the gas with one of the Caped Crusader's Batspray containers. They then began the long Batclimb back to the surface, but not before Batman was preyed upon by a giant spider. This particular spider nearly killed Batman, but as luck may have it, Robin was able to cut cut the web, allowing him to escape from the giant arachnid creature. They then left the Deep Cave in the Andes Mountains, and returned to Europe to stop Count Dracula.[2]
