The Cross, was a very important aspect of Christian symbolism.
It was used to symbolize the Crucifixion of Jesus. Many Christians wore images of the Cross on their necklaces.
They were also commonly seen on the inside and outside walls of churches and cathedrals. Crosses were also often used to keep Vampires away.
