History[]

Earth-1A[]

Not much is known about the backstory of this Commander, but judging by the fact that he's called a commander, we was likely a commander for some part of the Coluan Military prior and during the wars. It's uncertain if he was a supporter of the Computer Tyrants cause or part of some resistance faction to eliminate them. Whatever the case may be, considering virtually all life was lost on his homeworld, both artificial and otherwise, he probably saw no reason to remain on a virtually unpopulated world, and he decided to leave, looking for another world to live on or conquer.

His alliance with Electro allowed for such a thing, as Electro was a power hungry individual, who desired to conquer other planets in the galaxy. The Commander seemed to be eager to assist him with that. By the 1970s, they reached Earth with the goal of taking it over, but they quickly became aware of the fact that in order to do it, certain superheroes; namely the Dynamic Duo, would have to be eliminated.

Despite their well-intentioned plans to take over the world, starting with Gotham City, they were not successful in defeating the Batman Family. Batman, Robin, Batgirl, Bat-Mite and even the Batcomputer outwitted them at their own criminal scheme![2]
