Cigarette

A young baseball player smoking a cigarette.[1]

Cigarettes were the most common tobacco products on Earth, used for smoking.

They were smaller versions of cigars, which were also used to smoke tobacco.

History[]

Earth 1956[]

Superman, on multiple occasions, expressed his dislike of cigarettes when talking with young people about the bad health effects that it caused, such as coughing. They also caused more serious side effects, such as, among other things; lung cancer and even death.

He often stopped Nick O'Teen from giving cigarettes to children and said that he will "never say yes to a cigarette."[2]

He also had been known to say that smoking cigarettes doesn't make you cool, "it makes you a loser!"[3]

Tommy was a young baseball player that smoked cigarettes because he thought they were cool, but smoking them caused him to cough and slowed down his reflexes, and he couldn't play his best because of it, and he was thrown out at first base.[4]

Penguin was an enemy of Batman who was constantly smoking cigarettes through a cigarette holder. Years of smoking gave him a very harsh "squawking" bird-like voice, especially when he laughed.[5]
